Let all the Bulldog faithful rally behind the men who now wear the red and black with two words, two simple words which express the sentiments of the entire Bulldog Nation: Auburn Sucks.
I think he’s a good coach…but man do I not like him at all.
Watching Golding go head to head with Lane is getting to be on par with watching Tennessee play Florida or Alabama, you’re just hoping for the rapture to occur over Oxford.
After England’s win in Atlanta yesterday, they advance to the Group of 16 and face Mexico…in Mexico. If you wonder if that’s a home field advantage, check this stat out:
Lots of England fans clearly have no idea the absolutely massive advantage that playing at Aztwca gives the Mexican side. Put aside for a second the sheer size of 100,000+ fans and intimidating atmosphere (thats only the minor advantage).

Yeah I’d say it is. Aside from the climate, the legation alone will make them gasp for air and have to snort oxygen. If you watched Mexico go to work on Monday, you’re aware that the elevation has zero effect on the home team. Good luck, Three Lions. Or bueno suerte, as they say.
Anyway, that got me to thinking…have you ever been to a game where there was a clear home field advantage for some reason? In my mind, I can think of a few, maybe Bryant Denny at night or LSU at night, or maybe this abomination:
Some are already calling South Carolina our trap game for 2026, mainly because whether it’s August at noon or December at night, it’s always a crisp 9000 degrees there with no discernible breeze.
So what say you? Can you think of a place where just playing at the venue makes it a tougher out?
Before we lose our collective minds, the Twixxer here is making assumptions on who the pair of gamblers are, as the article doesn’t explicitly say Manning or Livingston was involved.
Buuuuut…Sark has been quite vocal about Texas Tech this offseason, and before all the gambling news took over, was calling into question Tech’s soft schedule, among other things.
It’s almost like it’s an integrity contest that neither school had any business starting, yet here we are.
I would’ve paid good money to see this as COSM in Atlanta, provided they had this view of the game from the venue.
Go Dawgs…meanwhile, here’s the matchups for the CWS:
Yes, that’s right…All-SEC on one side of the bracket. Hmm. What would it look like with a reseeded bracket:
#1 Georgia vs. #8 Troy
#2 UNC vs. #7 Oklahoma
#3 Texas vs. #6 Ole Miss
#4 Alabama vs. # 7 West Virginia
Then it would just be an All-SEC CWS, would it not?
Just imagine…also imagine if the Supers were reseeded…some different outcomes could’ve occurred:
1 Georgia vs. 16 Little Rock
2 Auburn vs. 15 Cal Poly
3 UNC vs 14 Troy
4 Texas vs. 13 St. John’s
5 Alabama vs. 12 Oklahoma
6 Oregon vs. 11 USC
7 Mississippi State vs. 10 Ole Miss
8 Kansas vs. 9 West Virginia
Well…guess what…you still would’ve only had five SEC teams in the CWS brackets…and Auburn would’ve been one of them…plus you would’ve had a B1G team in it, too.

Bat shaving? We knew the pitches? Does anyone want to tell them that they hit 12 homeruns off a pretty good pitching staff and, if anything, it looked like Mississippi State just had our number both days of competition?
Meanwhile, it seems they’re a little conflicted at MSU, and some fans are ignoring the obvious cheating and demanding the team walk all the way back home.
I’m not going to pay a lot for this stacked roster!
NEW: Nick Saban detailed how much Alabama’s NIL collective spent every year for the past five years in Wednesday’s hearing about the Protect College Sports Act.
Question – how much did they spend prior to the first year or NIL?
Second question…was Nick singing the same tune when he was the highest paid coach in college football, setting off the space race for coaching salaries that we’re dealing with today?
The SEC, the B1G, together again. Dogs and cats living together. It’s the rapture (of money, probably).
I will agree, if you want something to go slow, get politicians involved. So, yes, they have a point to that…but to suggest that anyone in college football has pivoted quickly to regulate anything is a laughable farce.
And don’t get me started on the “equity” that is being quietly communicated here, too. One of these two groups has reaped the benefits of the NIL era more than the other, so for the two to come together and pretend they’re on the same page is lunatic fringe material, too.
And finally, “lasting stability for college athletics”…is doing some heavy lifting.
Tech’s manager left their pitcher in a wee too long and subbed in their Friday starter, just to watch him give up a dinger to the 8 hole hitter and bring Tech’s dream season to a crushing end.
Now, before we run around beating our chests for SEC pride (note: there is no such thing), let’s remind ourselves that we’re down a regular starter for Friday and playing a team we swept at their place. And said team is full of pride, and is salty over the results of the first matchup.
You know, it’s hard to beat a team twice (Liberty was giving us hell, weren’t they?). It’s hard to beat a team three times. But five times?
I’m not going to gloat over Tech’s loss. I will smile a little in that both Tre Phelps and Kolby Branch were there in attendance, supporting Kolby’s brother, who plays for Oklahoma:
Georgia Stars Kolby Branch and Tre Phelps Celebrate as Branch’s Brother Kyle Sparks Rally to Eliminate Georgia Tech
There was lots of red at Tech yesterday, and I must say, from an optics standpoint, I wonder if we need to do a black out (not black jerseys, mind you, but black shirts) to discern between Dawgs and Sooners when Oklahoma visits Sanford this football season.
