I’m not sure we’ve properly appreciated this. Four weeks into the season, and your Georgia Bulldogs are the only CFB team to score on a fumble recovery, and interception, and a special teams return.
The broadcast threw up a graphic that showed we had scored some insane amount in the first quarter all season, and I told my buddy what a disappointment we only eeked out a touchdown when we’d been averaging closer to 28 points in the first quarter.
Fire Bobo.
I keed I keed. But there’s something different about this team…four covered spreads, scoring like it’s going out of style, and playing tremendous defense so far this season. Maybe there’s a reason:

Good news: Faulkner isn’t likely to be there long. I hear they may need a new coach in South Carolina, and I’d imagine Buster can name his price.

Off to NFL OC….not 24/7….HC within five years..
Lifespan of an NFL coordinator can be infinitesimally small – thought I saw something yesterday where some were already being fired 3 weeks into the season. At least as a HC, when things get tough, you can blame the coordinators and start firing them/cycle through a couple before your ass is on the chopping block….
Perhaps, but he’s never taken any job in the nfl. And he’s had lots of jobs.
To me the question is:
Does he have the patience to just be an OC for a while or does he need to be the head guy.
He’s just a few years separated from being on support staff at uga. He just turned 45.
Lots more than calling plays in being the guy in charge. He’s not tied to any school having gone to Valdosta State so he won’t have any built in support structure.
Being a gun for hire OC making 2 million dollar a year seems like a good gig to me.
Let someone else deal with all the bullshit.
His playcalling style is more college but that could be a function of the talent around him. Regardless he’s an excellent OC and he has my inner Munson going ape. Meanwhile we have bobo to comfort us. I’m still shaking my head at running a qb sweep up by 25 in the 3rd quarter the play after a head to head collision.
Well at least we have the fact that we have had to face him at Tech for years. Granted UF has much better players than Tech ever hope for but I’m sure our D coaches will handle it.
