Let all the Bulldog faithful rally behind the men who now wear the red and black with two words, two simple words which express the sentiments of the entire Bulldog Nation: Auburn Sucks.

Bill, that made me laugh so loudly I scared Killer Karl Kat, my murderous, black, freakishly large and fit Persian. That’s my go-to response when HornDawg Hans cracks one of his puns that the metrosexual ATL boys he runs with consider oh so humorous. Hans gets one pun free per range or hunting trip and the next one brings the threat of a “negligent” discharge. I can be easily amused but more easily irritated, especially in the evenings. Right, Uncle Got?
I got the “First” comment posted by BCDawg and LOLed at that also. The very first time I was amused by that. Those fools on the old AJC comments used to preternaturally piss me off with that shit. I reckon that’s because they reminded me of the days in grammar school when we were all lumped in together with no thought to intelligence differential. The average but deluded minds would rush to finish a test in order to be FIRST. They may not have received a passing grade but, by deuce, they finished first before the brainiacs.
In seventh grade English we were given another interminable standardized-type test. The instructions simply stated to read all questions before beginning the test. I did just that as back then I did as I was told. The questions were simple and interspersed with very odd directives such as standing up and loudly announcing, “I am the first (2nd, 3rd etc.) to reach question number 10” or to run around the room proclaiming, “I am the greatest for being first to number 20”. The final question was actually directions to not answer the questions but sit quietly at your desk and be entertained by your less disciplined classmates who couldn’t be bothered with following instructions. Sure enough, the same self-important spring butts who were continually interrupting class were the ones running around the room, flapping their arms, clucking like a chicken and loudly proclaiming, “FIRST!”. Bunch of dumbfucks.
Fortunately, the next year we were segregated by performance and I had to pay attention to earn an A for the class. Still had some squirrely types who either grew up or were sent down in ensuing years.
That’s what I like about the GTP commentors. Besides being Bulldog faithful most are highly educated or at least more intelligent than the average football fan. We have class and know when to speak up or shut up and how to take a joke. Mostly. Spring butts are few and should realize when they’re being too presumptuous. I still think we should ban BCDawg97 for the First! comment and ban GurkhaDawg for being a fuckn asshole. When FrozenDawg shows up he’s GOT a damn good idea what’s going to happen to him.

Just checking in. I followed GTP since it was a baby. Only commented a few times years ago. But the last decade I enjoyed my place as a back bencher.
Truly saddened by the Senator’s passing. What insight. So clever. Where do I go now?
GTP has been an addiction checking in a half dozen or more times a day. If you wondered what your dentist is doing while you’re waiting. ..He’s on GTP!
Enjoyed the commenters as well. The back and forth was so amusing.
I’m bummed.

I have stated many times that this comment section is the best on the internet. If I (or anyone) makes a mistake concerning a date or a player’s name or a coach’s name, no one starts in on me or anyone being a dumbass, we will nicely correct each other and go on from there.
If you ever look at the other comment sections on the internet it is full of assholes trying to out asshole each other. I don’t need that, and our Senator never allowed that to happen.

After all, whb, we have the absolutely BEST assholes anywhere!!!

I wouldn’t be surprised if there are some authors in the gang that won’t mind pontificating on a topic to generate some discussion. Going to have to find some way to create threads along the way I’d think?
Loading...
That’s my thoughts, I’ll be happy to “manage” the blog, but, there’s no way in hell I could duplicate the Senator’s postings. Folks can pitch in and keep this going.
Loading...
If we want to help generate content, how would we go about doing that? Email you articles we find? Are you on X? Can others create posts? Just wondering, cause I’d be willing to help by sending articles I find if they haven’t already been posted/commented on.
Loading...
Ideally, a handful of folks will throw their hat in the ring to be contributors. They can be given Editor rights to draft their posts and submit them. Initially, I would review them and then make them live for readers. After time, as everyone gets comfortable, I’d give them the rights to publish their own articles. As far as X and email goes, my thought is, stand up “official” X and email accounts for GTP Refugees if this goes forward. IF you don’t want to be a contributor but, want to get in touch with the blog to point out breaking stories or make “requests”, an email will be published on the blog for that, when the time is right.

I’d be interested!

I faithfully followed GTP the whole way with only scant commenting many many years ago.
I’m not a social media rabbit whatsoever. I do not understand how all that works.
I missed the age cut off I guess.
Therefore I do not wield much in the way of influence with the GTP community…or any other online.
I recognize some handles here that were frequent commenters.
Please use any influence you have to coax others here as I fear a shut down of Blutarskys site

Mr Day
If you put an email out there that you feel comfortable being there, maybe content could be sent your way that you could vet and post if you felt was worthy.
Maybe set up a mast head with a menu

Actually, on WordPress, contributors to the blog can be given permissions to post articles themselves. Which is what I would work towards, gathering contributors that can post as they see fit. My thoughts on setting up this site would be to “mirror” what the Senator had set up, keep the same look and feel. An email address will be part of the “links” so that visitors will have a way to communicate with the blog.

Mr. WHB209, I’d like to comment further on your dad’s award of the Silver Star on D Day. I hope that’s okay with the new benevolent dictatorship?
On that “day of days” uncommon valor was a common occurrence in the Airborne. However, awards for heroism were limited due to Division policy. Your father’s actions on the battlefield, repeatedly leaving shelter and exposing himself to enemy fire to bring in the wounded as if he were a combat medic instead of Battalion Surgeon, would’ve been a no-brainer for the Distinguished Service Cross or easily the Medal Of Honor in most other units. Simply doing his job of glider landing in a contested LZ and patching up the bleeding Paratroopers was Silver Star worthy. The 82nd and 101st Airborne just didn’t roll that way. It was a chicken shit policy if you ask me.
Those Devils In Baggy Pants deserved a Man such as your dad with nerves of steel, guts and skill to repair their wounds. They also deserved awards commiserate with their actions. In combat all men are not created equal. There are folks who will, for a variety of reasons, volunteer to put themselves physically in harms way and possess the mental ability to kill the enemy without hesitation. There are also folks with the same qualities but different skills necessary for the shooters to complete their Airborne mission. I’m sure that Jump pay ($50/month enlisted, $150/officers then and in my time) was initially an incentive. The uncommon inner strength that saw them through the toughest of training and then the rigors of combat is what separates them from the average person and is what sustained them. Being stood up for awards because you’re special is poor form. I reckon they can thank Dugout Doug and his-bug-out-from-Corregidor-MOH for the Airborne’s reticence to inflate medals.
WBH209, as proud as you are of your Dad’s award it should be higher. I would imagine your Dad wasn’t the type to give a shit; but awards are not just for the awardee. They’re for his compatriots and family also. Hell, I’m proud to know you. I have a slim few friends with dads from the WW2 Airborne and was friends with a few OG Paratroopers including a distinguished member of the Band of Brothers. Mr Walt Hendrix. I have a Luger and a P-38 that he brought back. I proudly wore Col Martin Eaves sterling silver Jump Wings he earned in ’42 on my dress blues until some slimy leg snaked them.
I’m curious if you have any of your Dad’s medals or awards? I’d love to see pics.

My old man’s destroyer put the 1st Bn, 503d PI on the beach at Corregidor. The film of the jump is widely available 20 years ago I went to the Archives in Maryland and got the footage. The 2nd and 3d Bats jumped the first day (at 500 feet) and the 1st was supposed to jump on day 2 but they decided the element of surprise was gone and it was not worth the risk to jump that day. The old man was a signalman on the Tin Can and one of his jobs was manning the gun bucket on the LCPR and maintain coms with the ship. They hit the beach and the Japanese had machine guns on the hill above and the crew of the landing boat went ashore with the paratroopers. One got hit and my old man was giving him first aid and he put the troopers field glasses and folding stock carbine over his neck. After being pinned down for a while they made a run for one of the boats and my old man thought he was being hit. . .it was the glasses and carbine hitting him in the chest. He lost track of the rifle but I have the binoculars. He was very Navy/Marine centric but that day gave him new respect for the paratroopers. Subsequently many of the 1st Bn troopers were killed at the “Explosion at Monkey Point” when an enemy ammo dump in a cave went off. http://www.thedropzone.org/pacific/Herzig2.html

Mr. RR,
That Silver Star is all I have. I think I told you it was found in an old trunk in an outbuilding on a farm in Rentz, GA. He never talked about the war and especially
D-Day. If my Aunt had not found that award, we would have never known about it.
He brought back no items from the war, that is just not the man he was. I wish we could have all gotten together at a UGA ball game, you and my Dad would have gotten along greatly. He was a special man. (Probably should not say that about my own father, but he was damn special).
Thanks for asking about him.
Loading...
Mr. WBH209, I’m not even surprised your Dad didn’t talk about the war. What he saw as a battlefield MD was the absolute worst of a terrible situation. It is imaginable to me. Lord help us all.
You take care ol boy.

I rolled into work early today. Out of habit, during my first coffee break, I clicked on GTP because it’s what I’ve been doing for nearly 2 decades. What a void. I mean, football season is so short and GTP was like this wonderful placeholder to get us through the bleak months (Spring, Summer LOL). So, yeah. I’m totally on board with this idea.

Worth a try, thanks.

Get the Picture will be sorely missed, but as painful as it is I’d hate to do without the banter from the commentariat.
Give it a whirl…

A link to the Senator’s obituary is below. I tried posting it on GTP but it does not show up. I wanted to attend his funeral but the family has chosen to keep it private. This makes sense as the Senator was a private guy regarding his personal life. While I’ve “known” the Senator for almost two decades, I learned a lot more about him in the obituary.
Mr. Ozam,
Thanks. As much as that hurt, I was still glad to read it.

Thanks for keeping the flame alive.

Thank you for attempting to keep the memory of GTP alive! The Senator was the creator and heartbeat of GTP, but his followers kept it alive and well. I miss the Senator’s posts and the daily banter.

I guess this is another WTF moment in all this! Today I visited Thomas barbers on West Paces Ferry where i have gotten my hair cut for Forty years! I asked Tommy if he knew Broch? The barber shop is close to where he grew up. Turns out the Senator has gotten his hair cut by Tommy since he was a kid! He was not shocked to hear the bad news as he knew the cancer had come back.

This is from a site about Navy Destroyers that was run by Dave McComb. It’s still up and running though Dave passed away a decade ago.
“Dave had more than one magnificent obsession in his life, but none surpassed this one. Thank you so much to so many in the destroyer history community who brought such joy and sense of accomplishment to his life.
For practical matters: the site will stay available for three years on memorial donations already in hand, and after that, I’m sure grace will provide. All the substantial costs are sunk, and it is a light burden for me to keep the site available.
When using Dave’s research elsewhere, please acknowledge “courtesy Dave McComb, destroyerhistory.org”. Even photos that originated with public archives required Dave’s travel, waiting, scanning, cropping and enhancing to be postable. One man pulled all these sources together: Dave. He could tell where the approaching fifty-five other International Tempest sailboats would be on the line seven minutes from now, so it shouldn’t have surprised me, his acumen for history. Let’s keep his name remembered.”
It’s not the same I know but it is an example of a site that continued.
As long as we’re talking naval history…
My Grandfather served on the USS Lindenwald from the time she was commissioned until the end of WWII. I grew up listening to his tales about the pacific (Coach O sounds a lot like Clarence) and have always found that period and theater fascinating. One of my favorite books is “Neptune’s Inferno” which is actually painful to read and scary how close it was until Willis Lee and the Washington showed up…
You may have already read it, If not I won’t spoil it.
Loading...
Indeed I have read it as well as “The Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors” by Hornfischer. My dad was on the USS Crosby, APD 17 and they had LCPR’s, the landing boats with a one man wide ramp and two gun buckets forward. Your grandfather and my dad were on several ops together.

Random thoughts in support of the idea.
We could keep WordPress so people are familiar with how the site would work. We’ll find a way to cover costs. Committee approach to management won’t work. There should be a site owner, senior editor and then contributing writers. GTP avoided being a cesspool because there were clear rules administered by a benevolent dictator. Has to be the same here to keep everyone in check. Decision on ad revenue would eventually need to be made to support the site. Like T Kyle King’s old site, there might be multiple owner/editors, but one ultimate decision maker.
Anyone who wants to submit content should, but needs to be screened. A philosophy on what should and shouldn’t be offered would be nice. For example, how far down the recruiting hole do we go? Non-CFB topics? Etc. Eventually we might entertain the old Mumme poll process to approve a select group of the best contributors so the site develops a sense of direction, purpose and identify through them. I don’t think this crowd is looking for a Twitter/X type free-for-all.
We can’t be Michael nor should try. This is about UGA Football and a community of shared interest. Pre-, during, and post game commentary is the best.
I’m in to help in any way. MorrisDay has grabbed the mantle so for now I suggest we rally around him for as long as he’s willing to run with this and get a support team in place. Like our “beloved” CFP Committee, those directly involved should check their hats at the door and pledge to work for the common goal. All others should enjoy and support through comments and viewership.
Hope it works. Will miss you guys if it doesn’t.

All good points FPD. Let me try to address a few. As far as this platform goes, right now, it’s on the free plan. Now, will that support the traffic this could potentially get? I don’t know. Plan may have to be upgraded as the blog grows. Ad revenue? I haven’t a clue but, if there is any I’d only want to see that rolled into maintaining any costs the blog may incur. If it makes a profit, we’ll donate it to the CCC in the Senator’s honor!
Subject matter of the blog should stay in the lane the Senator paved. There are plenty of recruiting sites that do that job well. As far as I’m concerned, some general posts on recruiting wrap-up like the Senator would do are all that’s needed here. Non-CFB topics? Should be rare and at least be relevant to the blog’s purpose, which is Georgia Bulldogs football so… yeah, rare.
WordPress provides the ability to give users Editor access, so that they can do their writing on the site. I’d prefer this to emailing articles in. There is a post approval process that can be implemented, requires an Admin to review and publish. I would manage that, most especially from the start, that process could be relaxed over time as writers get comfortable.
I would manage comments and be the warden for that. I found where the ban-hammer is located on here but, I don’t want to use that. But, I do know how. As always required, comments will need to remain civil, apolitical and contain all the snark and humor this bunch is known for.
I’d like to see the Mumme Poll continue here. If Payton Edwards is willing to collaborate as he did with the Senator, I think that tradition could be continued.
Still a lot of unknown, but I wanted to get something in place where this could be discussed away from the Senator’s blog. Right now it should just be about memorials over there. When/if the family makes their plans for the blog known, we can go forward with this or just slip comfortably back into the old digs and carry on from there.
Ad free is probably preferred, but figure-out how to get us to chip in a buck each and you’ll cover costs for WP and anything else.
As we may learn from the Senator, appointing another editor(s) can not only help you when you aren’t available to monitor the site but makes for a good emergency transition plan if needed. (Biz owner succession planning is my line of work, so kind of passionate about having plans in place in case the unexpected happens.)
When you are able to get rolling, I’d suggest a menu item and list the site’s purpose, goals, house rules, etc. That way both old and new visitors can be referred to a policy about how to act here. You’re going to get hit with trolls for sure. You might add a sub-section just for the Corch and Derek duels! (Joking boys!)
Reaching out to the other Dawg Nation bloggers and podcasters will help a lot in getting the kind of ongoing support for the site.
Put RR in charge of security. If hacked by the commies, we’ll send him in.
One final note on this site…seems replies to comments only go one level deep. Is there a switch to make multiple replies available?
Loading...
1) Raises a question I have for you guys… anyone seeing ads on the site right now? I really would prefer NO ads. I’m not seeing any myself but, as admin, I may not? No ads suits me, I’m not interested in doing this to make money, this wasn’t part of my retirement planning, I’m good.
2) I am more than ready to bring on some editors, anyone interested in contributing posts to the blog, step up. One of my flaws is… I’m not an early riser like the Senator seemed to be. I’d be more of a lunchtime blogger and that would really hamper the habits of all of us old geezers who like to read with our early morning coffee. So, definitely would like some early risers to contribute. I just retired! I want to sleep in! lol
3) I’ve already got a few links across the top for administrative type stuff to be filled in. Adding additional pages for that type stuff is quick and easy. Anyone that wants to take a crack at writing out some of these sections, please do and thank you.
4) Comments were (by default) limited to 3 nested responses. I maxed it out to 10, that’s the WordPress limit. Should be better than 3 though!
Another thing I was thinking to bring here is like a daily “conversation” post. Especially during the offseason when things are slow. NOT a playpen post. I ain’t touching that rail. But, when things are slow and folks just want to gather and discuss UGA-football-related points they want to raise. Definitely keep UGA game, ND game and post-game posts.
And, I need to learn how to read and deduce statistics!
Loading...
Reply limit fixed! No ads. I recall the Senator did adopt that model and noted that clicks on ads helped.
I also believe the Senator wrote posts but could have WP delay when they became available. I have a WP site and think I saw that option somewhere.
I’ll take a look at the background admin stuff but will wait and see what’s happening with the original site first before submitting.
Great job MD!

Dear Mr Otis,
Congrats on getting this going, guess this makes us scamps the Knights?
The Senator ended his reign with posts about the gayturds football world making one more circle around the toilet (hell yeah) and the average fan paying the Tax as the college football world either descends into utter NIL chaos or ascends the mountain on the back of the perfectly fair playoff construct! Ha.
I would hope you/we could start off with something about our Dawgs play in the Super Bowl which was about few players but outstanding contributions! Love me some DGD Connelly!
If this is a collaborative effort, one last ask, could your first post be titled “ Hit It”
Good luck!

So Mark Schlabach at ESPN has reshuffled his top 25:
Dawgs get the #1 rat poison and play 6 teams on the list in the regular season: Texas, Ol’Miss, Bama, Tennessee, Clemson & Kentucky. Right now, Vegas has the Dawgs as the favorite in every game with Texas essentially a toss-up.
Of course, the rankings are meaningless, but we’re mourning the Senator, its February, and we could use some Dawg talk. We’ve got lots of new faces on offense, a few on D, and both Coach Fran and Boom’s slots filled, too. I realize we don’t yet have the benefit of G-Day QBR . . . .
however, whether the Dawgs win out or drop a game or two, aside from inevitable injuries, what’s the biggest factor making it so?

I appreciate you setting up this refugee camp for all of us lost souls
Last week, prolific Georgia blogger Senator Blutarski — Michael Brochstein — passed away. He played a part in your most famous column — The Kings/Knights/Barons of College Football. I’m sure you have a story or two about him going back and forth on the final elevation of UGA to king status. — Matt H., Atlanta
I never met the Senator, but I was very sad to read of his passing. You are correct: He took it so personally that I didn’t have Georgia among the Kings in my original 2007 column that he enlisted a Dawgs fan in Montana to do a man-on-the-street video attempting to disprove my theory that average college football fans in that state would not be able to identify the “G” helmet.
I appreciated that the Senator/Michael had such a great sense of humor about the whole thing. When Georgia ended its 41-year national title drought in 2021, I knew I’d finally elevate the Dawgs in my 2022 column, so I reached out to him for comment. And we had a very enjoyable e-mail exchange.
“Short answer,” he wrote. “Bout damn time.” Followed by a much longer, more nuanced answer.
My deepest condolences to Michael, his family and all of his readers. I’m glad he got to see his beloved Dawgs move up a random sports writer’s list and more importantly, take home two actual trophies.

The Life and Times of RangerRuss is a book I want to be the FIRST! to get. 🤣
I agree.
If you don’t mind my sayin’ so, there are effective treatments available for those discharges you’ve been havin’!!
I do mind , spring butt.
I stand duly corrected!
😉
Are yall ever gonna get around to banning me?
RR, I just realized, after all this time: you’re our big toe! 😉
81Dog, that’s high praise indeed. I’m a big fan of Drill Sergeant Hulka.
So this is where people are landing? Cool.
Big shoes to fill, but I support the effort!
Certainly not trying to fill those shoes! But if this group of filthy animals wants to keep in touch with each other, I’m willing to facilitate it.
Great! Thanks for doing this.
I’m game. Beats giving Dawgnation any clicks.
I’m bummed.
While nothing/no one can replace Get The Picture or Senator Blutarsky, I would like to see something to nourish my need for Bulldog news and comments from other Dawg fans.
How do you go from filet steaks (Blutarsky) to eating out of the dumpster (message boards)?
We eat off the floor!
If this winds up going forward, every effort will be made to continue what the Senator started.
That’s my thoughts, I’ll be happy to “manage” the blog, but, there’s no way in hell I could duplicate the Senator’s postings. Folks can pitch in and keep this going.
If we want to help generate content, how would we go about doing that? Email you articles we find? Are you on X? Can others create posts? Just wondering, cause I’d be willing to help by sending articles I find if they haven’t already been posted/commented on.
Noted. Stand by.
Nice to have a place for the Senator’s comment community to still virtually gather – thank you!
Just checking in with you guys.
GurkhaDawg! Did you go by the Greyhound Bus station and pick up that package you left in the locker? 😉
Bluto had a “contact me” button.
Thanks for doing this.
For me, this would be a great palette cleanser post!
Why I did it, dawg.
I AM IN. Looking forward to the discussions on how to make this work! Us scamps need a strong leader.
I’m in.
I’m down.
Thanks for starting this. I’m in
Morris Day,
I am here. I am trying.
It still hurts not having the Senator, But I am trying.

Mr. RR,
That Silver Star is all I have.
Mr. WBH209, I’m not even surprised your Dad didn’t talk about the war. What he saw as a battlefield MD was the absolute worst of a terrible situation. It is imaginable to me. Lord help us all.
You take care ol boy.
GO DAWGS!
Maybe the Senator blocked me in his afterlife! 😊

Ozam, please email me.
chillinn@netzero.net
Mr. Ozam,
Thanks. As much as that hurt, I was still glad to read it.
Thanks for keeping the flame alive.
I’ll be checking in to see how this goes. Thanks for your effort.
Ok Willing to check in and see how this goes. Worth a shot.
It’s not the same I know but it is an example of a site that continued.
https://destroyerhistory.org/news/
As long as we’re talking naval history…
My Grandfather served on the USS Lindenwald from the time she was commissioned until the end of WWII. I grew up listening to his tales about the pacific (Coach O sounds a lot like Clarence) and have always found that period and theater fascinating. One of my favorite books is “Neptune’s Inferno” which is actually painful to read and scary how close it was until Willis Lee and the Washington showed up…
You may have already read it, If not I won’t spoil it.
By the way, here is WordPress’ pricing structure:
https://wordpress.com/pricing/
Great! Thanks for taking this on for now MD.
Should have added…tell me how I can help. Not here to just spout ideas, but will rollup my sleeves and work.
Bunch of gotdam hippies.
All of you.
Glad you showed up.
I can feel the love, RR!
I made a request of you Bill. I stand behind that.
I simply responded. I made no comment about you.
If you can see fit to accept my apology, I’d be grateful, Sir.
Morning folks. Glad to see y’all. Count me in. Dawgs are planning to play this fall so we’ve gotta do our part. BTW, I like to drive my truck.
Auburn sucks.
They’re not the only ones.
Turns out, all you hooligans have really grown on me. So I guess I’m in if it’s a go.
I’d be in not a regular commenter but a regular reader. This is like the Deboer blog, following the GOAT.
Ouch!
Thanks for setting this up. Like many on the GTP site, it was a daily read first thing every day. Because of new IT restrictions at work, I’ve not been able to post much, but I check-in several times throughout the day and read everything. I started reading GTP in mid-to-late 2007 along with about 8 or 9 other bulldog blogs – GTP is the only one still around. This is uncharted territory for me.
If this is a collaborative effort, one last ask, could your first post be titled “ Hit It”
Good luck!
Do you mind if we dance with your dates?
I’m back….thanks to my buddy Ranger Russ!
Count me in, MD.
…And just realized tomorrow is the Senator’s bday. (2/14)
Thats going to be a tuff day for the family!
They will be my first prayer in the morning and last tonight!
So Mark Schlabach at ESPN has reshuffled his top 25:
https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39512432/updated-2024-way-too-early-college-football-top-25-rankings
(tried to do the hyperlink, but no go)
Dawgs get the #1 rat poison and play 6 teams on the list in the regular season: Texas, Ol’Miss, Bama, Tennessee, Clemson & Kentucky.
I’m gonna put this up as a post as well, give it a proper chance for comments.
Thanks, man – and another thanks for keeping the fire going.
Seconded. You’re good people, Morris.
I think number one and number two are correct. The rest could go in any order.
ND is not number 5. They should be about number 20.
GO DAWGS
Huge thanks for taking the task of setting up a space where we can stay in touch, and doing it timely before people scattered.
And mad respect for being classy enough to view this as an option B, while deferring to Senator’s family if they choose to continue our original home. You are a good man. If it wasn’t valentines, I might even consider letting you dance with my date.
test
I appreciate you setting up this refugee camp for all of us lost souls
From Stuart Mandel’s Mailbag (https://theathletic.com/5274294/2024/02/14/college-football-playoff-espn-ucla-coach-deshaun-foster/?campaign=5888993&source=dailyemail&userId=14216290):
Heh, great minds. I just found the article and posted the same snippet over on GTP. And I know you’ll find it and I didn’t want to steal Seth’s words, but he has an even better tribute to the Senator just posted a bit ago. I’ll just say I’m not crying, you’re crying!
Thank you Morris for setting up this site. Hopefully, the Senator made arrangements for GTP to carry-on, but it’s nice to have a contingency plan here.
I’d love to be a part of whatever comes next, whether it’s here or at the old shop if provisions were made. Good to see all the familiar names so far!
Just peeking in to take a look. I shall return.
Checking to see if I’m in the right room here.
I’m in!
Appreciate the effort to keep GTP going – happy to be here with the rest of you scamps. I’ve been saving up my subscription fees from the Senator, so I’ll gladly drop a few coins in the collection plate when it comes time to pass it around.
Went to lunch with a friend yesterday. We sat at the bar and Florida Gator cheerleader sat next to me. She was really cute and fun to talk to but I still gave her some shit about the Gators.
Hooters?
“I gave her some shit”.
Dirty Sanchez? You gotta wipe your gear somewhere and that IS a gator we’re talking about here. 😉
Como Estan bitches!!!! …..(Anchor Man/Ben Stiller joke)….lol
I’m in too guys!
I read GTP every day for 10+ years and felt like I knew the Senator and many of you personally. Never posted once! Shame on me, but good on you – and this community – for carrying on. Count me in.
