Good God almighty, what has ESPN done?
Alabama vs South Carolina could be one of the premier games of the 2026 SEC season, as could Florida at Missouri…and your evening entertainment for the SEC on October 3rd is a toss up between Arkansas and TAMU or LSU vs McNeese State?
I’d rather have MSU and Bama at 3:30 and a nightcap of Florida at Missouri. Frankly, they could not televise the LSU game and I don’t know if anyone outside of Louisiana would miss it.
It’s 2026, and I still DGAF about Arkansas or A&M. What is this?
Wouldn’t this be ABC cherry picking the games in the 3:30 and evening slot? Which, BTW, leaves me longing for Uncle Vern and the CBS bumper music.
This makes zero sense. The night games are terrible. I can’t believe the one time I’m staying over night in Athens after the game and all the good games will be over all ready.
What is this? This is evidence that they guessed wrong in the summer when they assigned the windows for this game. Most of this was pretty well locked in before yesterday. It’s the price we pay for knowing KO times (or at least windows) earlier.
The Georgia, Alabama, and LSU games were already set ahead of time. The rest were flex games.

I think the one big surprise here is that ABC is airing either Miami/Clemson or ND/UNC at 8 PM instead of that Florida/Missouri game.

Don’t underestimate UGA’s willingness to volunteer for the bare minimum time slots or be downright hostile to the idea of night games. Kirby has even said he doesn’t like night games. Athens/Clarke County doesn’t like night games. The elderly donors don’t like night games. The Inner Munson Fretters need Noon kickoffs to save them 7 hours of quivering before games. Be happy there isn’t a 9 am window…yet Pay every cent you can, shut up and clap when you’re told to and thank them for being inconvenienced.
Haven’t checked yet, what’s the bet, tosu is the late game on the alphabet channel…

Correction, they’re at 3:30 on CBS that day at Iowa. I was thinking of this weekend’s game against Indiana.
How in the hell is that LSU game at night? That makes no sense. Preseason that should be slotted at noon. That is absolutely the worst matchup of the day. So much bullshit.

LSU owning that 7:45 SECN slot is not a 2026 thing. That’s been going on for years because the narrative of LSU night games makes for good TV.
I think McNeese is in line to be the 53rd State hence the interest by Disney. Seriously, how did anyone in ESPN HQ think that would be a PrimeTime ratings grabber? Advertisers should boycott not just fans.
Honestly, it’s a crap day for college football anyways. Week 5 been circled for me due to a trip to visit the casinos that weekend – so been studying schedule leading up to. No real premier games across any conference.
I am very interested to see what missy state can do against the bammers.

If you notice, the only night games for UGA for certain are away games (UGA-Bama and maybe UGA-Ole Miss) and MAYBE 1 game per year (maybe UGA-Mizzou).
Not that I know anything, but my guess of LSU getting all of these night games and UGA getting mostly Noon and 3:30 games has to be both schools saying that is their preference.
I do agree that the 9/26 schedule is ridiculous, but at least it will be an early day for me as I don’t give a rat’s ass about the 2 night games.
