Another Day, Another Dollar

So, more feedback coming in…some of you like the faux-Dawg, some not. So here you go:

Some of you liked a different tag line…

Now, for a little Simply Southern flare, plus an homage to our hatred for Auburn.

Apparently they can’t do an Early Cuyler very well at Chat GPT, but you get the idea. In keeping with the same theme, here’s another request, referencing the famous cannon shot idea.

I kept playing around with another idea, and I must say…damn good stuff. This is my favorite thus far.

I mean, it’s true right? It’s been free as long as I can remember and still will be (the site).

Keep the idea coming…I’ll keep building as you all send them. Oh, one last homage…

I ran out of free designs so I can take the quotation mark out and show another version of this, maybe with some edited font selections for the hat. It’s a start, though.

FABRIS POOL INCOMING! One month from today…

The 2025 Fabris Pool begins once again!

http://www.funofficepools.com/joinpool.php?Passed_Pool_Key=151bf26ad0b

Last year, we finished the regular season with 146 intrepid GPTers making picks and taking their licks.

At the old shop, the good Senator had 302 pickers, so the drop off was expected as we launched GPT Refugees. I’d love to see our numbers grow, so invite others to come to the blog and sign up!

First games to pick will be Week 1 Thursday 8/28. Week 0 games aren’t available on our Pickem site, but looking at this lineup, only the most degenerate gamblers among us would want to pick from these:

Gross. But the degenerate in me wants to pick the Maui Wowie at home against Intellectual Brutality, lol

Email invites went out last night for all those on file from last year. If you don’t get one, that’s ok. Check spam, or click on the link above to register.

If you have trouble registering, holler at me at dawglicious22 at gmail dot com.

More details, rules, and reminders on how the Pickem works later, but for now…

Good luck, GATA, and Go Dawgs!

Your humble commish,

Dawglicious

GTP Refugees Masters fantasy

If your blood runs Georgia (not just UGA), you love the Masters Tournament. We won’t hold the trade school affiliation of Bobby Jones against the tournament.

For bragging rights, here’s the link to our GTPR fantasy league:

I’ll try to give a daily update on the standings.

You’ll have to set up an account on masters.com to participate (that also gets you a chance to sign up for the ticket lottery).

Here’s what I think of the Masters:

March Madness Fabris Pool

GTP Refugees Banner Playoff

Don’t mind what the calendar says, it’s playoff time! GTP Refugees decided to have some fun upgrading its banner image at the top of the page. You, kind readers, will determine which image sits atop this blog through a method that is fully sanctioned and endorsed by the NCAA: the bowl system . . . er, BCS . . . um, playoffs! And who doesn’t love a playoff, amirite? As most of you know, Get the Picture had an iconic picture of Coach Dooley sporting a slick 70’s, wide collared shirt sitting next to the Godfather of Soul, Mr. James Brown. We’ll see which image wins for the Refugees.

This will be a 16-image playoff. In order to narrow the field to 16 images, we’ve got a play-in round that starts today. Pick your favorite of these four images in the poll below and the winner advances to the field of 16. The next round goes up in a week’s time, so get your votes in early. And with that, here’s today’s choices:

ADDENDUM:

While I appreciate everyone’s passion voting on the banner, we’re going to have to set some rules on voting. Honor system, people – don’t vote more than once a day. Some of you are way beyond that. Thanks.
