Tiledawg92 with the closest-to-the-total-points tiebreaker win over 8 other GTPRs whi had a nice week, too.

3DawgNight leading the way early…Jeremiah was a bulldawg. amirite?

Kirby’s Kanines have covered 50+ and 40+ spreads two weeks in a row…

Signs of the end times?

Per usual, picks will be up sometime on Monday when the site sets the spreads. Like the Dawgs schedule, the competition steps up maybe a hair or two off the razorback this week.

And away we go! Fabris Pool Week 1 Results

But first, the culprit behind FSU’s lighting woes?

Jimbo looked pretty nervous on set in Doak Campbell last night…probably because he had his back to the crowd.

On to the results!

LtDannyLJr with the impressive start to the season! 3DawgNight places, and Mudcats Mechanic shows with the tiebreaker for 3rd

Week 2 picks go up later today…will we have another stress-free Pickem week not having to wonder if the Dawgs can cover? Tune in next time, sportsfans, and we’ll see!

1 day, folks!

The final friendly email reminder went out yesterday to past Fabris Pool participants who are (hopefully) waiting until the last minute to run it back in 2026.

As of this post, we’ve got 123 intrepid pickers rarin’ to go.

Here’s the Invitation link to FunOfficePools to join the weekly ego beat downs fun!

First game is tomorrow evening, Thursday, Sept. 3rd at 8:00. Picks for GT/Colorado lock at that time, but you can make or change picks for every game on the slate up until kickoff of each contest.*

Your humble commish,

Dawglicious

*please oh please don’t try to cut it too close! Be efficient, and don’t get behind the sticks with too late picks!

7 days, folks!

…until the Fabris Pool! 9 days until the really good stuff.

Any of y’all remember from the old, old Dawgvent (I think it was there) in the early CMR days with the poster who would count down the days to kickoff with a header like this? Sound off in the comments if you recall.*

I have really enjoyed Otis’ Countdowns with the trading cards these past couple of years. They help me get through the awful, no-good boring offseason (and I usually learn sumthin’! )

We’ve just passed the century mark in pickers for this season, still plenty of room!

*Well, I could have done an internet search and found out, but then again, maybe Mrs. Dawglicious is right about her “no phones at the dinner table, even if you just have to figure out that bit-part actor that’s in everything but you can’t remember their name to continue the conversation” rule.

So, to stimulate our minds and make for better discussion, go!

We’ll get a head start on Labor Day Weekend Thursday, Sept. 3rd with a Coach Prime Time viewing of Colorado visiting the historic Flats aka Mark Richt Field. The fun continues Friday with a classic ACC battle between Da U and the intellectual brutality of Stanford.

Our Rose Bowl ring coulda had “Kirb Stomped”

Five games on Saturday from noon to 7:45, three more on Sunday, then capping it off Labor Day with the likely continuation of FSU’s hot seat vs. Smoo. (I heard someone on SXM College Sports call SMU “smoo” the other day. That was a new one for me.)

You may notice, friends, that none of the Week One spreads exceed 28.5 points, with almost half the games in single digits. You may also notice that our beloved Dawgs aren’t in the lineup, either. After considering the thoughtful comments from some of y’all, I thought we might better enjoy an early Georgia cupcake game and concentrate on how we look rather than hoping the Dawgs unleash the offense and hang fifty-plus to cover, or worse, feeling a little queasy on picking against Georgia in what 🤞should be a sure-fire pound-pummelling…well, no need to jinx anything! We’ll give it a shot and see how it goes (against tasty cupcakes, anyway).

Quick rundown on the rules:

Pick deadline is kickoff for each game. Don’t run it too close!

There are no default picks, make sure you check a box for each game.

12 games worth 1 point each vs the spread. Weekly recognition of winners and a season-long winner as well! Don’t let a bad week or three get you down.

Don’t forget to pick our tiebreaker game, too! Here’s the order of tiebreaks this year:

We rarely go past the first tiebreak.

Start studying! Guaranteed “C” if you just show up to class! *
