  1. I made the top ten!!! Whoo! First. Time. Evah!

I’m going to tell my grandkids about this. This is almost as good as that one year I won the NCAA bracket challenge in my dorm. My wife rolls her eyes every time I bring it up.

    • Same. Even more surprising for me, apparently I was even higher but the law of averages is now catching up to me as I regress to my usual mean.

The reason why there is an average, is that some of us are below that average…

  2. This question is for the real X’s and O’s people out there. Is ‘uncatchable’ the Go To explanation for the PI non call?

    • It’s the best explanation under the rules (although rarely called). If KJ focuses on the ball as he runs to the spot, he likely bats it away or possibly intercepts it.

I think some of it is they are trying to take away the intentionally underthrown ball just to get a penalty.

    • The go to explanation is: “Yeah, it was PI and about fucking time you assholes got a taste of it. Hahahahaha. Suck it!” Then bark at their kid.

      • Yep, this is my go to response.

As for the Fabris Pool, you’d think just random luck I’d wind up top 10 one week, but no. I guess I am the antithesis of the top ten. I tried to fool it once and inverted my picks, but still wound up at the bottom.

    • They were at least 2 yards past the ball when it arrived, with zero ability to stop their forward momentum, turn on a dime, and go back to the ball – that is the “physics” answer. To ee’s point, continuing to call pass interference on these underthrown balls is ridiculous. But FPD’s answer is also the correct answer!

  3. The refs were setting up Russell to make a heroic 3rd and 10 conversion in order to make him the instant Bama legend Fowler and Herstreit were wanting him to be. Damn thing is Bama screwed up the plan by taking a sack and putting the Tide out of field goal range.
