Your June 10th Sign of the Apocalypse: Pat McAfee Gets His Bag

I’m just at a loss for words.

I mean, congratulations to him and all, but how is this guy worth that kind of money? He’s hard working, literally all over the place on the network, but this guy is becoming the new face of ESPN. Have you ever watched his show? Imagine sitting around with your friends, talking sports, throwing out random takes, cussing along the way, and possibly being intoxicated in the process.

That’s the show. That’s literally the show…not deep insider information, breakdowns, etc…just a lot of bro talk and bravado. And shirtlessness from time to time.

Pictured here are two of the biggest blowhards of all time. Also pictured is Johnny Manziel.

$60 million. Per year. That’s over a million a week! A WEEK.

A former punter turns into a multi-millionaire and doesn’t really have to do much heavy lifting or work to get there.

I’m flabbergasted.

Your G Day Gameday Post

Apologies to Otis if I’m overstepping, but wanted to put this out early since we can all watch and make snarky QBR posts today as we watch.

Enjoy this final glimpse of football as we head into the dark doldrums off summer speculation and hot takes, and post your comments here. I’ll be there, and if I can snap a few pictures I’ll share later in the day.

Have at it, scamps, and as always, behave.

A Commercial Success

Thoughts? Would football be a better watching experience without the commercials (maybe Super Bowl excluded, but focusing on college football here).

Your 01/01 Quarterfinals Gameday Post

Good morning and Happy New Year! Well, Whinin’ Day and the Bucknuts will get to watch the rest of the CFP from their couch. Time to put Ole Miss on the couch with them.

Now, I’m no prognosticator, I’m just a fan. However, last season, headed into the Sugar Bowl, I was uneasy about the game and, to my horror, it didn’t turn out well for the good guys. Don’t have any of those feelings this season. This team has grown up and made huge strides as we watched them all season. Ole Miss might get some early points but, I look for UGA to take over, at the latest, by the second half. Don’t think Ole Miss can overcome us. Last year, the middle 8 killed us, got us down so far, we couldn’t rally back. I trust Kirby to button that up today.

In other news, there’s a couple of other games today as well. Part of me wants to see Bama shut Indiana down and shut up all the B1G idiots. But, I don’t really want to see Bama for a 3rd time this season so, I’m conflicted. As far as TT/Oregon, I’m pulling for TT, although I really don’t care which one wins.

So, here’s the TV lineup for today, with all the broadcasts being aired by E$PN:

  • SECN: SkyCast with Natural Sound
  • ESPN: Field Pass: Will Compton, Taylor Lewan, Josh Pate, Harry Douglas

This post is open for all your in-game comments throughout the day.

And They Wonder Why Gameday is Coming to Atlanta

There’s much kerfuffle over where the Gameday crew and their shirtless, emotional-support dog having buffoons are traveling to this weekend. Instead of heading to the (checks notes) second relevant game of the season for both Ohio State and Indiana, the motley crew is opting to come to the SECCG.

Wonder why?

Honest question…how many of you here have tuned into an Indiana game this year? Highlights don’t count, only actual game day watching during a televised game counts.

Your game day post, North Avenue Trade School edition

Good morning all! Hope everyone enjoyed yesterday’s Thanksgiving festivities with their friends and families. My family had a nice time, gathering together in our usual manner. No one left hungry!

Now, forget all that and gin up some HATE! Cuz it is bug squashing time! We have the opportunity today to match The Drought. Georgia has won 7 straight in the series in 3 different periods: 1991-1997, 2001-2007 and 2017-2024, the current streak. I want a win today, and I want another one next season, so that “The Drought” fully belongs to the Nerds from here to eternity!

Game Details:
Kickoff: Friday, November 28 – 3:30 p.m. ET
Location: Mercedes-Benz Stadium (75,000) | Atlanta, Ga.
2025 Records: Georgia (10-1, 7-1), Georgia Tech (9-2, 6-2)
2025 Rankings: Georgia #4/4, Georgia Tech #19/23
TV: ABC/ESPN+ (Joe Tessitore, Jesse Palmer & Katie George)
Radio: Bulldog Network | Affiliates | Scott Howard (PxP), Josh Brock (Analyst), D.J. Shockley (Sideline) Stream @ georgiadogs.com Satellite: SiriusXM 81
History: Georgia vs. Georgia Tech All-Time Series Results: UGA 72-39-5
Last Meeting: Georgia won 44-42 (8OT) in Athens, Ga., 11/29/2024

For good luck, here’s the cover of the 1957 game program when Theron Sapp became “The Drought-Breaker”:

And, from Georgia Dogs dot com, here is today’s “Game Program“.

The day starts off with the Egg Bowl. Followed by Clean Old-Fashioned Hate and we end the evening with the Lone Star Showdown. We’ll be tuned in to the first 2 games but, we’ll be leaving late afternoon to head to Sylvester to watch Worth County host Gordon Lee in the Single A Division 1 quarterfinals. I’ll leave it up to y’all to to get the necessary outcome from the late game. Don’t screw it up!

Your game day post, Charlotte edition

This weekend is probably a welcome change of pace for the Dawgs. It’s been, so far, a successful grind of a season against the upper echelon of the SEC. Today, UGA welcomes the Charlotte 49ers to Athens. Why are they the 49ers? Wasn’t the gold rush in California?

Game Essentials:
Date & Kickoff: Saturday, November 22, 2025 – 12:45 p.m. ET (SEC Network slot)
Venue: Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium – Athens, Ga. (93,033)
Records entering the game: Georgia 9-1 (7-1 SEC), Charlotte 1-9 (0-7 AAC)
Rankings: UGA #4, Charlotte unranked
TV: SEC Network – Joe Tessitore, Jordan Rodgers, and Lauren Sisler on the call
Radio: Georgia Bulldog Sports Network (Scott Howard, Josh Brock, DJ Shockley) – stream free at georgiadogs.com or the Georgia Bulldogs app
Series History All-time: Georgia leads 1-0
Last meeting: 2019 – Georgia 52, Charlotte 0

Charlotte’s sputtering at 1-9, giving up 475+ yards per game (worst in FBS) – perfect for resting starters and getting some young pups some live game action.

I don’t expect much excitement or nail-biting today, that said, keep everyone healthy, have a good game and enjoy the “break”.

Go Dawgs!

Horns down.

Today’s digital game program from Georgia Dogs dot com:

This will be Texas’ 15th conference game since joining the SEC. It’s the 3rd time facing UGA. That’s 20% of their SEC games so far. I’ve seen and heard enough about these Big 12 rejects, c’mon Dawgs, let’s beat that ass and leave them questioning why they ever came to the SEC.

And, never forgit! Forgit hell! It’s always 10-9 in Texas!

This post is open for your comments throughout today’s game.
