Gooooooood morrrrrrrrrning Refugees! The Bulldogs opened the 2026 season with a 63-3 win over a thoroughly outmatched Tennessee State team, as they should have. It was actually, kinda nice to see the Dawgs come out in the first game and not fiddle-fart around. They got after it, got a great start and rotated in some kids that need experience. Would like to see more of the same today. Western Kentucky is a better team than we faced last week but, there should be no nail-biting moments in this one.

“The Team Can’t Leave in the Third Quarter”

The fact that folks may have been leaving a game early against Clemson is kind of laughable, but Lane is making a point here:

With the white out being unique, it stands to reason that folks might leave early in a blowout and make their ways home to see some of the other big games on the day, or the students will migrate out to resume day drinking the day away.

Can’t say I blame them…although where are you on the idea? Are you a stay until the clock hits zero kind of fan? Does it make you made to see people leave a game early?

Is the white uniform thing of interest to you all, or are you like Warren Brinson, who sees a little humor in uniform gimmicks and money grabs?

Have a cup of coffee (or a mimosa) and discuss.

Thursday Thought Provoker: Top of the Mornin’ Tailgating

Sorry for the late posting…I passed my first kidney stone and it was, well, a bit of a painful ordeal. I can blog through a lot of things, but that…no, sir.

Anyway, it’s an early kickoff this week, which means that those of you who are fortunate to go will need to have an early morning tailgate, or at least departure time, to arrive for the pre-game festivities. I can recall, back in the good ole days, that a early kickoff meant a box of fried chicken and maybe a 10:30 am arrival. Given the modern setups nowadays, I imagine it’s far more elaborate and may include making your breakfast at the site.

Or, maybe it’s like it is at Boston College:

I wonder how the open bars I see on campus would fly given these rules at BC? Hmmm.

Anyway, for those of you who arrive early…what do you do? Do you do a breakfast and lunch? Or is it a more muted affair? Discuss.

Once again, I say good morning Refugees, Georgia Bulldogs opening day of the 2026 season is here. We’ve looked through 99 poorly referenced football cards and wished our lives away through the summer. Well, now it’s time to slow it down and savor it. This has the possibility of being a special season, some bounces gonna have to go our way and we need to pray for healthy players. This season has a good buzz to start, the team needs to improve through the season and be prepared and healthy for the playoff run, I think by season’s midpoint, we’ll know if we have the goods. I’m just at a loss for words.

I mean, congratulations to him and all, but how is this guy worth that kind of money? He’s hard working, literally all over the place on the network, but this guy is becoming the new face of ESPN. Have you ever watched his show? Imagine sitting around with your friends, talking sports, throwing out random takes, cussing along the way, and possibly being intoxicated in the process.

That’s the show. That’s literally the show…not deep insider information, breakdowns, etc…just a lot of bro talk and bravado. And shirtlessness from time to time.

$60 million. Per year. That’s over a million a week! A WEEK.

A former punter turns into a multi-millionaire and doesn’t really have to do much heavy lifting or work to get there.

Apologies to Otis if I’m overstepping, but wanted to put this out early since we can all watch and make snarky QBR posts today as we watch.

Enjoy this final glimpse of football as we head into the dark doldrums off summer speculation and hot takes, and post your comments here. I’ll be there, and if I can snap a few pictures I’ll share later in the day.

Your 01/01 Quarterfinals Gameday Post

Good morning and Happy New Year! Well, Whinin’ Day and the Bucknuts will get to watch the rest of the CFP from their couch. Time to put Ole Miss on the couch with them.

Now, I’m no prognosticator, I’m just a fan. However, last season, headed into the Sugar Bowl, I was uneasy about the game and, to my horror, it didn’t turn out well for the good guys. Don’t have any of those feelings this season. This team has grown up and made huge strides as we watched them all season. Ole Miss might get some early points but, I look for UGA to take over, at the latest, by the second half. Don’t think Ole Miss can overcome us. Last year, the middle 8 killed us, got us down so far, we couldn’t rally back. I trust Kirby to button that up today.

In other news, there’s a couple of other games today as well. Part of me wants to see Bama shut Indiana down and shut up all the B1G idiots. But, I don’t really want to see Bama for a 3rd time this season so, I’m conflicted. As far as TT/Oregon, I’m pulling for TT, although I really don’t care which one wins.
