I mean, congratulations to him and all, but how is this guy worth that kind of money? He’s hard working, literally all over the place on the network, but this guy is becoming the new face of ESPN. Have you ever watched his show? Imagine sitting around with your friends, talking sports, throwing out random takes, cussing along the way, and possibly being intoxicated in the process.
That’s the show. That’s literally the show…not deep insider information, breakdowns, etc…just a lot of bro talk and bravado. And shirtlessness from time to time.
$60 million. Per year. That’s over a million a week! A WEEK.
A former punter turns into a multi-millionaire and doesn’t really have to do much heavy lifting or work to get there.

College Gameday has had a massive spike in viewership among 18-24 yr olds and women. Ratings up 22% and they credit McAfee for this. So he gets bag and we just drift away wondering what the hell is wrong with kids these days.

I stopped long ago. It just isn’t my thing anymore. I’ll watch Dari, Ben and Chris on SEC Final and that’s about it. I hate “bro culture”.

Funny – I know a woman (a purdy as can be Georgia Gal) that LOVES the Dawgs and she NEVER watched Gameday until they started the charity kicks. Her son is on the Kohls’ Kicker Circuit for class of ’28 scholarships so they immediately hooked her with it. She literally asked me when does the kicking segment come on. Then she got hooked on some of the human interest stuff. She realises that it’s a marriage of Bro Club and the Hallmark channel but can’t help herself. She said her father gets up and leaves when she asks to cut it on when she visits – DGD behaviour, lol.
The windbag got his big bag. Sports “journalism “ is a thing of the past. All they do is scream and holler at each other. Who wants all that ranting and raving? Oh well, some idiots cause that’s a lot of money for nothing!!

I can’t stand watching McAfee. The guys just acts like a clown. What he did to inflame and promote the unfounded rumors about a female Ole Miss student is unconscionable.

I saw the headline and thought they cancelled his show. My reaction was to shrug and mumble ‘its about time’ – before reading that he’s in line to get more $$$.
They’d have to pay me $60 mil to be a regular viewer…
The only joy I get from this yahoo is watching Saban’s expressions as he has to sit next to him and listen to his schtick.
