There’s nothing more satisfying that seeing the nimrods from Hogtown having to eat their words. This one was a classic:

Speaking of, the Gator contingency has been mighty quiet leading up to the WLOCP. That has my inner Munson going off right now.

Between our slow starts, and what’s likely to be a kitchen sink of new looks and plays from the offense, I think 8 sounds about right, if not a little optimistic for Georgia.

Let’s hope the past week and this one is focused on righting some defensive wrongs and keeping the offensive playbook open like we saw against Ole Miss.

  1. Play a clean game and the gators will fold in the 2nd half. Lagway likes to throw it to the other team. If the DL keeps him in the pocket vs flushing him out we are good.

  2. Agree, a new offensive approach could cause us problems given the slow start by our defense. Believe our offense is taking off .
    I burned my Munson hat a while back. May need to find a new one

  3. So much depends on where Lagway’s (and any other major contributor’s) mind is.

    Is it in the portal? Is he trying out for the coach to be named?

    Definitely the potential for an emotional outburst, but 60 minutes is a long time to live on those fumes.

    Given that we’ve had the extra week to heal up along to OL, I like our chances.

    Its time to get salty and nasty up front and start bullying people. If we’re getting to Miami, that’s what we’re going to need to be.

  4. As I said last week the news broke, am still haunted by how hard they came out and played in 2014 when Muschamp was on the ropes…. No doubt the new staff will be emptying out the playbook with every gimmick play to try and deliver some juice….

  5. Gonna be a funky roller coaster ride. Where our team hasn’t played to The Standard is where suckers and fools get lucky taking their best shots. I still think the season turned on Gunnar’s Superman TD but trusting this squad takes a lot of energy. All the noise is around what the opponents are gonna do with the ball, while all is quiet around their defense and that was the side we need to respect. Message Board Geniuses is gonna be sublime.

  6. Considering how much success previous teams have had against us in Q1 when they design a couple dozen plays we’ve never seen before, this game should be a wild one at the start. I wonder if Kirby & Co even know which of Billy’s 123 assistant coaches will be calling the plays.

    • This is not me being a dick it’s me genuinely wanting to know, when did this start? Q1, QB1, RB1, the line to gain? When did the new football lingo begin?

  9. The season at this point is on Bobo’s shoulders. We will go as far as he & Gunner can take us. He’s got to keep the pedal down and go after these defenses while we hopefully get our own D playing at least like a decent squad. Bobo being responsible for the Dawgs success is not something that makes me comfortable but we’ll see. As long as he keeps his 60s Packer playbook of 3 yards & a cloud of dust locked away, we might be okay.

    • This is as wrong as it’s possible to be. Our offense has been fantastic all season long. It’s not Bobo’s fault that our defense hasn’t been able to stop opponents from scoring. This season is Shuman’s to win or lose.

      • When placing blame on one side or the other is being short sided, should the offense start slow by going back to back to back 3 and out’s, placing the defense back on the field in short time spans can have some draw backs, we like UGA football offense, we support UGA football defense and love those UGA football special teams play…GO DAWGS!!

    • It was my first WLOCP I attended in preson in quite some time. It really did my heart good to watch that curb stomping. CG got his just reward!!!

  14. With a new coach comes renewed optimism. This will be a new team. One thing won’t change Lagway has struggled this year under pressure. Please don’t open with the ten yards off the receiver defense. The offense has proven it can be trusted. If occasionally the pressure defense gives up a big play so be it. We know allowing them to catch it then rally to the ball is resulting in touchdowns for the wrong team. For once this season GATA from the opening snap.

  15. This year has been the weirdest in years. We have played one half of football per game most of the year. At least against Ole Piss the O was able to keep it close until the defense could figured out WTF was happening. If we get in too many 2nd half come backs from here on out we are going to get bitten. Has Muschamps son graduated from Vandy yet?
