    I swear, I think Kirby would rather win an ugly game like that than a blowout like we had against TCU. Convince me otherwise.

    I don’t care if Gunner ever wins a title at UGA (I want it for him), but he is already a DGD to me. He is like a Timex watch – takes a lickin’ and keeps on tickin’.

    • No doubt. I was amazed he got back up after that one hit he took from the LB that blitzed untouched. That looked like one of those hits you see on NFL Films from the 70s when pretty much everything was legal.

  4. Since a makeup penalty was called on the play, Cash Jones’ decleater won’t make the highlight reel…..but it should.

      We need to put hit on our highlight reel in the stadium next year when Auburn comes to town.

    Question: Why would Kirby want Gunner to go down before the goal line (if that reporting is true)? Yeah…of course we’d be close and kill more clock but shit happens. Just ask Auburn. 3 points doesn’t seal the game. We’ve seen last second TDs in that stadium. Gunner’s TD absolutely and unequivocally ended the game. That was more than Kirby could hope for. Please tell me our HC was thrilled with that play.

    • We could have ended the game on kneel downs if Gunner goes down in bounds.

      Technically, CKS was right. What I don’t get is how that wasn’t communicated to him in advance. We’d just come out of a to.

      He was right with Ringo too. Doesn’t mean the tds aren’t pretty to watch.

      CKS doesn’t want to play extra defensive snaps that need not be played.

    • He said something in his press conference – joke maybe or not – that getting seven when they could’ve milked the clock was going to trigger an investigation into beating the spread and intentionality. I’m thinking it was a joke, but who knows.

    • Because the analytics guys say so. Which is probably correct, but screw that. Score the TD there. It was the perfect way for Gunner and Delp to honor Cam.

    • We could have run out the clock, but as we saw, we could also fumble ball in a one score game. In my “never been in the arena” opinion, being up two scores is always better. I think Kirby was over-thinking it.

    • Being up 2 scores is better than 1. While Kirby may have experienced the Kick 6, he didn’t experience the gut-wrenching pain of the Prayer at J-H. I feel the same way about Ringo. If you can score, do it.

      Trolling $Cam with the Superman made it all worth it.
