Let all the Bulldog faithful rally behind the men who now wear the red and black with two words, two simple words which express the sentiments of the entire Bulldog Nation: Auburn Sucks.
With a hefty slate of games today and tomorrow, I figured we’d roll the ND game day post on out. Here’s what’s on tap for Friday & Saturday as the college football regular season, sadly, comes to an end and now it will be nothing but playoff Playoff PLAYOFF aaaaiiiigggghhhheeee!!!!!!!!eleventy!!!!!11!!!!!! Ugh! (ummmmm… Otis… hasn’t it pretty much been like that the entire season? well, uh, yeah, pretty much.)
This post is your open thread for comments throughout today and tomorrow’s games.
Good morning Dawgs! It’s Game Day once again. Damn. Only 2 regular season weekends left. What’s on the menu today?
In addition to our beloved Dawgs at 1245, we’ll be tuned in to see how Indiana fares in Columbus. And, we’ll have eyes on OM/FU as well. Pains me but, I think it would benefit us for FU to win that one. #FTMF
Once the UGA festivities are over, we’ll be searching for upsets. Can Kentucky, Minnesota, Kansas, Army, Wyoming, Oklahoma and/or Auburn create some chaos for the CFP? Inquiring minds sure do hope so.

Your Saturday smorgasbord of football games is served…
My household won’t be partaking of any afternoon football today. We’re headed to the Agrirama for Cane Grinding and Syrup Making today. Fully intend to be home and ready for tonight’s festivities. So, you scamps hold it down this afternoon and behave yourselves.

It’s Game Day again! Here’s your guide to today’s festivities…
Guess we will find out which B1G team is the pretender (hint: it’s both of them) in the Big Noon game. Will Ole Miss stub another toe today at Arkansas?
Obviously the WLOCP will be front and center at 3:30 but, we’ll probably be casting an eye at Oregon & Michigan during commercial breaks to see what happens there.
For the nightcap, we’ll be hate-watching Tennessee as they host Kentucky. I think the question was posed earlier this week… which team do you hate losing to the most… or enjoy beating… right now, for me, it’s Tennessee in both categories. Primarily due to their trashy, delusional fans. But, maybe that’s just me.
Only one game day post this weekend, the Dawgs are taking a well-deserved bye after making brisket of the horns last weekend. Here’s what is on tap today:
Games of interest today? How about Navy? Can they stay unbeaten? Notre Dame will probably be their toughest test before they get to Army. Come on Midshipmen! And, I’m sure most of GTP Nation will be cutting their eyes over to Nebraska to see if they can pull the upset over the Bucknuts.
I’m fairly certain at least one of our regulars will be tuned in at 1530 today for the Illini and the Ducks. Can Mizzou eliminate Bama? Inquiring minds want to know. My advice to DeBoer? If you lose this one, invest in brick proof windows. And, of course, the icing on the cake would be for Vandy to take out the Horns.
I don’t think Miami will need the refs to bail them out of this one against FSU. This tweet says it all:
Throw in the Tigers visiting the Aggies and, overall, not a bad day of college football even if our beloved Dawgs aren’t in action. Go Dawgs!
Get up! It’s Game Day! Of the Non-Dawg variety, that is. Your viewing guide for today’s tilts:
Every game today is just a preamble to the 7:30 game on ABC this evening. To get warmed up and properly lubricated… we’ll be watching some ACC matchups to start the day with Miami/Louisville and Virginia/Clemson. Mid-afternoon, all eyes will be on ABC at Knee-land Stadium to see what the hell happens next. And then, clear the schedule, cause nothing tonight is on par with UGA/TX.
Morning, scamps! I’m filling in for Otis today but there’s some much anticipated games coming up today on this cool Saturday. Did all the big games happen during a week where no one anticipated upsets (Alabama and Tennessee, still looking at you, and giggling)? Will the anticipated matchups be duds?
Let’s see what’s on tap:
It’s Homecoming weekend here at the McDonough house, so I’ll be watching in between hair spraying, making bouquets, and painting nails. Not sure what my daughters will be doing but my weekend is my weekend dammit.
Seriously, there’s some good games on the slate right from the jump. I bet the Nerds will be licking their chops to kick Geoff’s ass in Chapel Hill, and I believe he will oblige. I don’t think Beamer Ball will stand a chance at BDS, though the energy meter for the crowd should be interesting to watch as the LANKs (Lackadaisical Assholes Negating Kalen) take the field after the Nashville Miracle occurred.
The Red River Rivalry, brought to you by Disney, comes on at 3:30 and they’ve deemed this to be the best rivalry in the SEC now. Seriously. I believe Texas won’t see their first real test this year until next weekend and they’ve comfortably made that in the Longhorn’s favor with a night game and limited Georgia ticket sales. Also this:
The Sooners have lost every one of their starting wide receivers for this game, so I’d imagine running is going to occur. Penn State and Pittsburgh are competing to keep their CFP hopes alive against West Coast teams. Real east coast west coast rivalry going on there, and we know Cal can surprise people.
For the night cap, what do you do? Ohio State and Oregon have the first regular season playoff game for the BIG, Tennessee and Florida are in a cat fight for credibility, as will Kiffin and Kelly as the Ole Miss walking wounded limp in to Baton Rouge after LSU had a bye week. Kansas State, with CFP hopes in the “who the hell wants to win this thing” Big XII puts it on the line against Amazon Prime’s hype machine for Big XII after dark. Apparently, Boise State has a really good running back, but you’re going to have to stay up late to see him.
What’re you watching today? Where’s the upsets and storylines coming from this slate that we’ll be talking about in the coming week?
Good morning, we made it to another college football Saturday. Now if we could just get fall weather to join us!
Here’s what’s on tap today:
Last week, I experimented with pulling the UGA game out of these listings and putting it on the Dawgs Game Day post. I shan’t be doing that again.
So, what games will the Refugees be tuning in today?
Here at Casa Day the first 2 games listed above will be tuned in, just for general interest, not much more. Which will get us to 3:30 for the main event. We’ll also keep an eye on Ole Miss/USCe during that time slot.
We’ll be doing some “woo pig sooey” for the evening games and maybe tune in to see if Duke can beat the Nerds.
This post is your open thread for comments throughout today’s games.
The secondary slate of today’s games is presented below for your viewing pleasure:
Really interested to see what Kentucky has for Ole Piss today. We’ll definitely be tuned in on that one in the first time slot. OK State vs Kansas State might be an interesting game, based on their rankings. The B1G Noon game of Minnesota/Michigan seems to be missing the important part: big.
The Cardinals and the Golden Domers should be interesting in the 2nd time slot. Can Oklahoma go into Auburn and rack up their first SEC win? And, we’ll tune in to the battle of the secondary Georgia schools… Southern vs. State should be an annual game, is it? (Very good chance it is and I’m just ignorant.)
In the 3rd time slot, other than the obvious, the Illini & Lions might be entertaining… otherwise we’ll just monitor for any upset alerts.
What’s on your agenda today? This is your open thread for comments on today’s ND action.
