Georgia vs Florida State: The Bland Ole Opry

Yeah, instead of awesome new home game we haven’t seen before, let’s all head up to Kid Rock’s bar and go watch a game played between two teams that had to travel father away than necessary to play a game in Tennessee.

If they thought bowl games were becoming irrelevant, maybe the OOC matchup played at a neutral site needs to become irrelevant. Unless it’s a rivalry (and to be honest, I couldn’t care at all about Jacksonville) why the hell did these ever get started anyway?

  1. It’s to reward all the fans in North Georgia and Southern Tennessee who normally can’t make the long drive to Athens and helps with recruiting in Tennessee.

    • Don’t believe CKS would sign off, if “ABC” wasn’t in full effect…when looking at competing cities, “been there, done that”, nashville gets event just because they mailed in a application…would shutter to think Mickey had any influence on this location, other than the wwl just might have a future broadcast the next day…GO DAWGS!!

  2. What a great idea. Let’s inconvenience and shake down both fanbases to make some green for the fine folks in Nashville. Other than the 3-4 hours on fall Saturdays, modern college football sucks.

  3. Pass, I’ve wanted this home and home for decades and was looking to get tickets. I have family in Tallahassee as well. The WLOCP is a great tradition but any other Border Wars (Clempson) should be home and home.
