Yecch Tech

Shot:

Chaser:

The middle schoolers from Boulder came to the Flats, surrounded by virgins and white noise, and were able to run all over Tech for a good bit of the night, JuJu Lewis was awful until Colorado’s final drive, and Justice Haynes continues to be a guy we don’t mind missing in Athens.

Chaser with a Double Shot:

Lol. Nerds. They lost to Coach Amazon Prime and the Canadian Strength Sensation Coach Cotes.

I wonder if Brent is gonna cry.

  1. At one point Colorado ran the ball 15 straight times pretty much straight up the gut, and Tek couldn’t stop it.
Them Dawgs might run for 400 yards against them. 😁

    • Tough Guy Brent was about to cry. Apparently he told the announcers he emphasized LOS play all off season and then Colorado ran straight through them like crap through a goose.

It was two bad teams but I still laughed at how Tech lost in the most Tech way possible. Suck it, nerds!

  2. Great way to start the season! Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving bunch, fans included. I guess that package with tickets hot dogs and drinks on the cheap put people in the seats. Agree that Dawgs should run wild! Hey Brent, cry me a river! Wish you many many more!! Go Dawgs!!!

  3. Went to bed after the first drives of the second half – putrid game, awful announcing, but the result, chef’s kiss!

  4. Dear 6 lb. 8 oz Baby Jesus, I just wanna thank you for ripping the Nerds’ heart out at the last minute. Also, you gave the Deionites hope, which is just hilarious to watch play out. Thanks again, Big Guy, and I’ll see you at Bryant-Denny.

  5. That was two bad teams playing last night and hard to watch, but the beautiful ending made it all worth it.
Colorado should have beaten them soundly. They shot themselves in the foot so frequently last night, that they are probably having both of the amputated this morning.

I really thought Tech would win just due to the heat and humidity taking it’s toll on the Buffalos. Surprise! It was Tech that looked winded and out of shape most of the game. Colorado just lined it up and ran it down their throats. BEAUTIFUL!!! They just flat out manhandled Tech on both sides of the ball.

Wasn’t Lewis supposed to be the next wonderkid at QB? Either he is nowhere near as good as everyone thought or QB development at Colorado is that bad.
Overall, a satisfying ending to a turd of a game.

    • We had better be happy we (DAWGS) didn’t smoke a scholly/NIL $$ on Juju. He is just plain terrible. Wayyyyyy overrated.

      • Yes Juju looked about 5’6” and 150lbs. Not sure how the all world hype got started wth him but wayyy overboard. Definitely did not miss him on our roster. Bo Hughley also started for CU so a former Dawg gets a win back home. Going in I thought CBK would have his guys play more physical, and the pregame mentioned CBK was confident of his O-line vs the CU D-line. After the first 2 CU offensive series, it was clear, the middle of the get d-line was getting pushed around.

    • Buffs practice at altitude and 90 degree weather. The humidity in the ATL is obviously worse but they weren’t going to be winded.

  6. I think Lovett could whip tech’s ass.
Mercer looked better in their opener than the nerds did against Prime.

  7. I can’t remember the last time I saw both teams play so sloppy in an opener. I think we’re seeing the effects of so many players coming from the transfer portal that have no chemistry playing together. While you can bring in a player or two and plug them in with success, the massive numbers of transfers that we’re seeing start for so many teams looks to be a negative when they have no loyalty to the schools beyond a paycheck and don’t care about the player lining up next to them. Also, does anyone else get tired of the announcers always telling you where the players transferred from as if it’s something that you actually care about?

  8. Oh that was a most delicious appetizer course for the season! Foie gras rolled in Belugan caviar. How awesome to see Goldberg dressed in CU attire and in their section cheering. I don’t know of any affiliation he has with CU, just a beautiful piece of trolling. LOL nerds and the locals here who are now expecting a great season. So cute.

  9. I couldn’t stomach watching more than the first quarter of Brent & Deion but I must say I couldn’t have scripted a more satisfying ending than that. How bout them Buffs!

  10. I know I’m not alone. As soon as it was obvious the Nerds weren’t going to cover I spoke into the universe “I hope they lose”. Proof the good Lord is a Dawg.

  11. Good thing Key got that raise and extension during the offseason. Stingtalk is open again for public viewing and it’s a hilarious tickle pile of hair pulling, teeth gnashing wailing woe. I was shocked to see a visibly smaller Colorado team manhandle yech the entire game! Nice job by yech coaches to give Colorado plenty of time left and TWO timeouts during the winning drive. Mendoza was showing flashes of good vision, arm strength and mobility until he got sacked on last play of first half and came up limping. He was a statue in second half and could not move at all to avoid pressure. Overall I thought the nats did a great job of pulling defeat from the jaws of victory! 5 stars!!!!

  12. Happy to report that Stingtalk is no longer blocked, and the trending post is titled “Brent Key Needs To Go.” LOL. One poster called him Mongo and that gave me a hearty laugh.
