Today in It Just Means More

This kid is a DGD whether he ever puts on a Georgia jersey or not.

G.A.T.A. I’m sure your Dad is in the crowd grinning from ear to ear while Mom is punching him to say, “He’s embarrassing me.”

I've been a Dawg my entire life. UGA was always my dream school where I received 2 Terry College degrees and met my DGD wife. I've been a season ticket holder for over 30 years and love the in-stadium experience over anything from Section HD. My first game in Sanford Stadium was the 1981 Auburn game where we clinched the SEC championship. The best game I've attended in person was the Midnight Miss against Ohio State (nite, nite!). The best home games I've attended were the 1984 Clemson game (the Butler did it) and the 2013 LSU game (that 4th down is still the loudest single moment I've experienced between the hedges). The game I love to win is against the Handbags (FTMF), and the game I hate to lose is the NATS (Tuck Fech).

  1. Leadership! The young gentleman next to him declined to sing, too!

  2. Good parenting! Which is why despite her success I put Megan Moroney in the traitor category for “Tennessee Orange”. Rumor is it’s about dating Morgan Wallace. Thus ends my morning useless take and trivia rant.

  3. This kid shaking his head needs to appear on our Jumbotron every time the dirtneck UT band plays “Rocky Top” next fall.

    • This kid will go far. It makes me more optimistic about our future generations.

    • Went to my daughter’s orientation @ UT (Austin) many years ago. They “make” all the parents sing “eyes of Texas”. I couldn’t do it. Called the Dawgs instead. My wife was totally embarrassed!

  4. Somebody needs to have a chat with the school board about the elementary music “curriculum”.

    • Yes..that’s obscene and children shouldn’t be exposed to, and much less encouraged to participate in such.

  5. About a year or so ago my wife and I were sitting front row at dueling pianos in Houston, TX. They were taking requests for money but you had to write it down and they’d decide if they wanted to play it or not. One of the pianists says, “(a name) asked for Rocky Top for $5”. I yelled out, “I’ll give you $10 not to play it!” He said “ok”. While I was digging out the money some other guy walked up there and gave him the $10. He was an Arkansas guy. We were dying laughing and high-fived as he walked back to his seat. They didn’t play Rocky Top.

  6. I’m not even embarrassed to admit it but, but The Osborne Brothers version of that song is one of my all time favorites.

  7. Reading reports that Muschamp is returning to Texas as their DC. Texas has fired Kwiatkowski. Really surprised to read that as I thought Muschamp was happy in this area.
