The New Alabama?

The socials have arrived at near Bohemian Grove levels of conspiracy theories, all around officiating and the league’s desire to keep Georgia at the top of the heap. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say we’ve become the new Alabama, getting all the official’s love and support.

Folks, we aren’t even two years removed from this.

The 2023 SECCG didn’t come down to just officiating, but that call did keep us from the CFP and a potential three peat. Let me just say I don’t want to hear it. If the refs are protecting Georgia, which I doubt they are, I’ll just say it’s overdue.

    • Like when they took our receivers head off over the middle well before the ball got there? No call.

Also that was a fumble by Lagway. In the angle the cameras only showed once you could see that the ball was moving in his hand before he hit the ground.

  1. Will the league office fire the crew chief who made the call. Or does calling Gunner for clapping too loud save him. That was the old fashioned excessive success Georgia toss a flag then make something up call.

Georgia beats FU and GT loses a heart breaker. Another great day for America!

    • Beat me to it, scuba. Nobody serious can claim that the refs were protecting the Dawgs when they called Gunner for illegal clapping and basically took points off the board for us.

  2. I’m no football expert but I’m pretty sure the ball is not supposed to hit the ground while you’re trying to catch it?
I was half listening to Doering (Whom I typically like) talking about the play this morning and all I heard was “I’m tired of this continuing to happen” or something. I thought He was referring to the call but turns out he was tired of having a man wide open for a walk-in touchdown and Lagway failing to make the play.
Well, I’m not. Nice foot shot MFers. Go Dawgs!

    • We miss Malaki Starks making sure everyone is in the right place and being an eraser back there.

Bolden is talented, but I’m not sure he’s the QB back there.

I would almost be tempted to move Aguero back to safety and bring Daniel Harris to play star/slot corner.

  3. They were holding ALL GOD DAMN NIGHT LONG and if they ever got called on it once I can’t remember it. They can all go to hell. – PDawg30577

  4. The fumble that wasn’t by Lagway.
The receivers body movement that caused a questionable targeting.
That made up clapping total BULLSHIT.
Also, we’d already stopped them once on 4th down there. Who’s to say they even get points.
Also, I watched UGA get robbed of a NATL TITLE. I’ll take every last damn one of these.

  5. If the refs were trying to assist us winning they would not have called a ball going forward after leaving a passer’s hand a fumble and not an incompletion. Then we get the on air yoyos examine the replay as if it was the Zapruder Film (“Stockton’s hand goes back and to the left….back and to the left.”) Rogers studied at Vandy. Surely in high school, junior college or at Vandy he took an introduction to physics class. The officials are all college grads. Surely one of them took physics at some time in their lives.
The only reason a football goes through the air in a direction is because of force on it is going inthat direction. The forces on that ball on that play were the snap sending the ball away from the line of scrimmage, Stockton’s wind-up moving his hand with the ball away from the line of scrimmage and the ball being in Stockton’s hand when Stockton’s hand started moving forward and to the left.
No player applied a force on the ball in the direction it went other than Stockton’s hand and arm moving in the direction the ball traveled.
The SEC should have a physics review with its officials before each season rather than worrying about how hard a quarterback claps.

    • Whut the official didn’t know, was that # 14 had just heard, through the miracle of technology, the barn plus the North Avenue Fucking Trade school were losing in their respective games, thusly # 14 was penalized for his Dawg like exuberance, a simple error by the “over officious jerk”….GO DAWGS!!

  6. We were in the SE end zone, and it was pretty clear all the way down field in real time that he trapped it, there was also an in-stadium replay (not sure if it made it to the broadcast or not) where it was pretty obvious the ball hit the ground and bounced up into him…. Showing stills ain’t gonna convince anyone….

    • You were fortunate to be in the stadium for a lot of reasons, a main one being you didn’t have to hear Joe Tessatore yell, “THE BALL LANDED ON HIS HANDS!!!!!!!!!! ” when the view showed clearly that the ball came down between his wrists and elbows. The video stills showed the ball between his forearms and just the top half of the ball being above the level of the forearms.
The only reason any college football watching fans who are not Florida partisans would think it was a controversial calls is Tessatore’s loud, inaccurate, breathless description.

      • Joe can’t help himself, his only talent is trying to hype up the game. He has zero knowledge of the events he is calling.

  7. When an indisputably wrong call costs you a likely national championship or SEC title I will listen. Until then shut the fuck up.

  8. They showed the angle at the game that confirmed it hit the ground. It was a trap not a catch.

  9. very early in the game we had a receiver open deep with a step on the FU DB…Gunner threw a great ball but the FU DB pushed our man and he lost his balance just as the ball arrived.
No flag..blatant as hell but not called BECAUSE the refs had already called FU for PI once…on the opening drive and because they were spineless asshats worried about looking biased for Georgia.
I just want them to be fair..they’re not..they’ve become a third team on the field and they determine too many game outcomes by their sorry work.
Florida’s line held our defensive front on almost every play..and it was ignored.
About ready for AI refs…not biased or worried about what the coaches or crowd or moron announcers say or think..just unbiased on every single play.
