One for the Ages

This popped up on the thread this morning from the Georgia Football socials, and it never gets old.

No real narrative here, just a pick me up on a summer Monday with eight weeks to go until kickoff.

Go Dawgs!

  1. Thanks, that was fun. So many big plays.

And how often do you see a QB putting a DB on skates, allowing his RB to shoot past.

  2. I can still see all the beer in my section being tossed in the air in pure elation as Sony passed by. 3rd best live moment ever as a Dawg fan.

    • We were next to the band and he ran straight at us! It was poetic justice that the rule that year was that all the OT’s were in our end zone at the lousy Rose Bowl video screen was behind them!!!

      • Ha! Were you with the Senator? I recall him telling me he was in that corner too. We were on the 15 yard line on that side.

        • No, alas, I didn’t meet him until the Notre Dame game. The are other GTP folks who were right by us because I’ve told the story of the little old lady who had NO chance to see anything because you had to stand on your seat to be able to see in that end zone. I saw her at a home game the next year and asked what happened to her? She said “I went to an usher and he took me to a great seat and wasn’t that a great game”!!!

  3. I was in the corner of the endzone where Sony scored (more on the sideline than endzone. It was glorious, probably the best game I’ve ever seen live.
