Beating bama to win B2B SECCG
Frazier’s 9 yard TD run off left tackle to put us up 21-0 on Bama in the 3rd quarter of the SEC Championship.
Especially, when you look at all the effort the team put out blocking on that play. Physical. Composed. Disciplined. Talking with our pads. #GoDawgs

Living in enemy territory (LA) there is no question the mauling of the gumps is our highlight of the year!
Shutting the Gumps’ collective pie holes is #1 to me.
The one I’ll remember for the rest of my life is Stockton to Humphreys and McCray for the win in Knoxville. Celebrating that with the London Dawgs was pretty special.
The growth of the team this year has been amazing. From leaving us on the edge of the cliff to become a dominating no doubt team.
All of the above. I would add the entire Bama OL not doing or even saying a damn thing after we knocked Ty on his ass.
Brooks Austin had things to say about that.
Yeah. Brooks was like, “Yall are just gonna let him do this huh? I mean you didn’t even say anything to him. He walked right through yall after he did it like you weren’t allowed to say anything to him.” Probably as good an indication that they aren’t what they used to be as there is. Deboer’s Alabama is soft.
This has been a really fun season. Reminds me a little of 2017 which is number 2 for me of the Kirby era.
The great wins over rivals and stomping Bama were all beautiful.
The blocked punt with the onside kick being a close second. Exciting, impactful and a coach and team showing extreme confidence and daring.
Watching Bama being so desperate in the SECCG that they had to go for it on 4th down in their red zone and then Ty Simpson airmailing the pass.

I probably got the most height jumping out of my chair with the onside kick!
I’m torn, tbh. 4th & BUMphreys (I can neither confirm or deny I texted “more like BUMphreys” after a drop earlier that game and now shamefully always text that during the good plays/blocks and would apologize to the young gentleman’s face if introduced) saved our season, but Gunnar’s Superman sort of ripped the lid off and started us rolling. The Florida kneel isn’t a big deal because there’s gonna be A LOT of kneeling as we clinch NATTY NUMBER THREE! (and I’m not talking about Davis’s Mom).
We aren’t talking about a let the clock run out kneel. It was an in your face I’m going to score, but nah I feel sorry for you pathetic lizards kneel. It was a statement that from then on we were going to eat what ever we wanted.
The funny thing to me was that, after the TD is confirmed by replay, the Tennessee band plays Rocky Top. I figure they probably play it after each game (since they play it all of the time anyway and don’t seem to know much else), but after it’s announced that your team just lost the game? Common sense would seem to dictate that you should only play your team songs after something GOOD happens to your team. I guess it just confirms that they have no common sense (as if we didn’t already know that).
I’ve already watched the SEC Championship game three more times since the original. So that should tell you what I liked most. 🙂
Bama and hopefully much more is waiting for us.
Next is the defense having Texas, Sark and Manning looking completely lost.
I realize this is 2025 memories but that same look on the faces of Manning and Ewers last year in Austin never gets old.
Bamas first possession 3rd and 3, Ellis Robinson makes as good a tackle as you will see from a cornerback. We needed that stop on their first drive big time.

There are multiple moments during this season that are highlights:
(1) The 4th Down TD at Tennessee.
(2) The 2 point Conversion (Stockton to Branch) at Tennessee to tie the game at 38.
(3) The missed FG by Tennessee that could have won the game for them.
(4) The 4th Quarter offense vs Ole Miss.
(5) The 4th Quarter 36 yard Chauncey Bowens TD vs Florida.
(6) The Gunner Stockton kneeldown to end the game vs Florida.
(7) The onsides kick and recovery vs Texas.
(8) The Zachariah Branch TD vs Georgia Tech (the only TD of the game).
(9) The UGA defense vs Alabama in the SECCG.
(10) The Zachariah Branch TD vs Alabama that sealed the deal in the SECCG.
I should have also posted about the fumble at the goal line vs Auburn and the 2nd half offense in that same game that saved our season.
