They’ve had plenty of moral victories lately
But their players have to take Intro to Calculus, or How to spell “Calculus” or something something.
Tech is smart to keep him around. I think he’s the best they’re going to get for a while, plus as an alum, he’ll stick around.
I don’t think he can emotionally survive, there based on his post-game antics and crying. All joking aside, he flames and rehabilitates as our OLine coach when Bobo & Searles fade away after Drew leaves the program
I’m waiting to see all the students and alums sporting Key’s patented hoodies. Gotta love the cut off sleeves – cut so far up his arm it’s almost a wifebeater look.
While I love digging at Tech and my Tech alum friends, I have to admit that I totally respect Brent Key (as I think that Kirby does). He coaches a physical, tough brand of football and expects the most of his players very much like what we enjoy in Athens. What he inherited from Geoff Collins was the epitome of “dumpster fire”. I legitimately think that at the end of Collins’ tenure that program was the biggest laughing stock in all of college football. There were other programs that lost at the same clip that they were, but when you throw in the Waffle House shit, the weightlifting on the sideline before games, and all the other goofy Collins shit they were an absolute clown show. I personally want Tech to be relevant as well. If we have to play them as an annual OOC game and 10th P4 opponent starting next year, I want Tech to be good and for the game to be meaningful.
I don’t.
He’s losing his OC to Florida and his QB is out of eligibility. They might be regretting this deal before next season ends.

He’s a tech guy I agree he’s a good coach and the best they can hope for. I think they’ve overachieved the last two seasons. Due in a large part to a very tuff gutsy QB and a very good OC. I wish he was not headed to Florida.
