Seriously, give up on the 19th year of eligibility and go away already.
There’s a Playpen level joke in there somewhere, but, nah, I’m not going there, either.
Anyway, Vanderbilt and Pavia aren’t the only ones calling on the long arm of the legislatures to start bitching about the CFP.
Honestly, he lost me at “I’m a Florida Gator”. The rest of the argument can only get progressively stupider as it goes after that.
Remember, this isn’t anything new.
Honestly, they should’ve filed for a protective order to avoid playing Georgia later, but, a team has to have priorities, I guess.
And if you think it can’t get any weirder, there’s this:
Some the chatter on the socials suggests that Lea informed the team to keep their gear packed and ready to go in case they get the call for an extra game this weekend. Geez.
If there’s anything that will guarantee the long-term success and stability of the CFP, it’s putting a guy in charge of it who was part of the USFL ownership group (not to mention all the other bankruptcies and cockamamie business schemes over the years).
Anyone who stood in the extra-long security line in the rain for the 2017 title game is probably hoping that dude stays as far away from college football as he can for the rest of his life.
As one of the people who stood in that line in 2017, I wholeheartedly agree with you. Anyone whose attendance would disrupt the experience for the average fan should just stay at home.
That’s for ALL the POLITICIANS. Hell, they can’t even agree on how to better the country, nevertheless, how to better college football.
I’ll get back in my lane now. Sorry.
All I can say is the word salad coming out of Brett Yourmarks mouth are an insult to anyone’s intelligence , even a Gump or TN hillbilly.
Aren’t play in games on Tuesday night…my bad, it’s “Tequila, Tacos and Table Dancers” Tuesday nights…GO DAWGS!!
Has anybody told him they’d probably be #17 in that scenario…
That title made me smile we watched a ton of Dora and her cousin Diego when my son was little.
I had to be Baby Jaguar.
F’ing college presidents. This is a bad gangster heist movie where they (NCAA, CFP committee, P4 conferences, etc.) stole so much money it attracts too much attention from the law (courts, lawyers, lawsuits) and other gangsters (politicians State and Federal). Go ahead…stir up the Administration and really see how this whole thing burns down over fighting for money. Pavia doesn’t want in the CFP for Vandy, he wants his NIL bonus money. I give it a max of 3 years before Congress steps in, declares the kids pros and they go under a CBA that shreds anything we have resembling college football and just teams with college branded names.
During covid, didn’t byu schedule a last minute game against coastal carolina?
is there anything stopping schools from scheduling another game during the season or until the cfp champ game?
Yes. There is a 12-game regular season limit for college football with very specific exceptions. “We got our panties in a bunch because we finished fifth in our league but we’ve never been this good and believe this entitles us to a shot at a national title” is not one of them.
UM vs Vandy in Hawaii with Lake Kiffin as the head referee.
I’ve said it before..
Pavia is a hotdog…but he’s a hell of a QB.
And tough as nails.
