So EA Sports is set to drop the latest version of College Football on July 19th. In case you weren’t aware, the game went away years ago due to the famous O’Bannon lawsuit that paved the way for NIL today.
It was announced quite a while back the game was returning, this time with player names and each player receiving compensation for their likeness being used in the game, if they chose to do so. So, to build up hype for the release of the game, EA Sports decided to start dropping game elements that would lead to discussion and possibly rage, such as this:
We already posted about this one a while back, but color me surprised to see so much discourse about this on Twix yesterday, as though ESPN or Rivals had posted this. In fact, some useful idiots were even bragging about it:
Seriously, Florida? You lost to Georgia Southern AT HOME, your recruiting class is currently bringing up the rear in the SEC, and you’re going to flex on a video game’s rankings?
Anyway, let’s allow some stats to enter the chat:
Considering Georgia has had one home loss since 2017, I’d say home field advantage is something realized moreso on the real field than on the virtual one.
For the record, Florida has lost 11 times at home in the same time frame. You do you, handbags.
Fuck those MFing Swamp Lizards.
When I saw this list, my initial reaction was how can a school that has lost once at home in 7 years and not a single home loss this decade be anywhere but number 1 on the list.
Inquiring minds are really interested to know if they are putting a stat in the game for the likelihood a road fan base takes over a home team’s stadium and make the home team’s line false start. We would definitely be #1 in that category.
In all honesty, does the 2019 loss even matter outside of the media guide and trash Gamecock fans? No player on our roster has EVER lost at home. Losers (namely me) build virtual dynasties and think it matters outside their PlayStation electronical box. REAL winners (like Kirby) do it on the field to our applause. If you want to talk history Florida has had as many Head Coaches as Kirby has had home losses on his watch. Let that sink in. Heyell, UGA scores more TDs in a game on Florida than we’ve had home losses. Keep winning on the Twitter, tho handbag nation.
And yes, FTMF in their little Swamp, too!
I was just watching a video for some of the game’s features and BLACKOUTS ARE BACK! Blink and you’ll miss it at the 2:20 mark of the video below.

It’s pretty damn spectacular assuming the game play delivers. I went out and bought a PS 5 at Costco and put a $5 deposit at GameStop to get the game on release date.
Even Uga is in the game.
Also just announced: Georgia black jersies will be available in the game!
