Double Dawgs in Los Angeles

Heavy here on the rumor part of this, but I also would not be surprised if it’s true. Last we saw of Simpson, he was sacking himself and crying about injuries as to why his drop-off in performance lead to some poor late season results. Funny, we had a QB known for using his legs and I don’t recall a time where Stetson Bennett did something like this:

Hell, Stetson Bennett is literally a walking pinball and gets several CTE-inducing hits per game, and I don’t recall a moment where anyone could’ve called him Charmin soft. Maybe some folks are just built different.

Anyway, here’s the rumor:

It would be nice to see another quarterback not named Stafford to get some playing time in the league. If knowing that a team that could likely be in the Super Bowl conversation is lead by two Dawgs, I’m all for it.

Go Dawgs!

  1. One thing Stet loves is being discounted. If Stafford can’t go, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Stet take the field first.

  2. Really wanted to bitch about you not embedding the video, but after a quick perusal of Youtube, apparently an isolated video of Ty sacking himself has been wiped from the intertubes……

  3. Its pretty much do or die time for Stet. He’s either has to set himself up as heir apparent to Stafford, who probably is in his last year, OR he needs to make himself attractive in a trade to some team desperate for a qb.

Personally, I’d be shocked if he can survive at that level. Few can. There are probably 12 humans on the planet at any given time who are capable of being a competent nfl starting qb. But he’s surprised us many times before. I love to see it, but I’m not expecting it.

If he makes it he’ll be the first qb in NFL history whose only significant attribute is balls. I don’t think enough of us realize what a unicorn that guy is.

You can easily find hundreds of hs qbs who have equal or better size, arm strength, foot speed and processing ability.

99.9% of those similar in physical gifts, talent and ability to Stet take one look at Jalen Carter and say: “fuck this, I’m out.”

They may not utter those words, but that’s what’s in their heads. And its often very noticeable when they get on the field.

  4. I would LOVE to see Stet prove everyone wrong once again. The upcoming Disney+ movie “Mailman” needs a third act, after all…

The problem is that the Rams front office is not going admit they blew a 1st round pick on a QB that can’t take the #2 spot on the roster. I think that McVay likes Stet, but he might have to be traded so that 10 other idiots don’t lose their jobs.
