RIP, Gene Hackman.

Gene Hackman, the prolific Oscar-winning actor whose studied portraits ranged from reluctant heroes to conniving villains and made him one of the industry’s most respected and honored performers, has been found dead along with his wife at their home. He was 95.

Great actor and great career. Aside from Hoosiers, I loved The French Connection and Unforgiven, and forgot he had a brief cameo in one of the all time greatest comedies, Young Frankenstein.

Oooh, sweet mystery of life at last I’ve found youuuuuu…a surprisingly diverse and remarkable career, he’ll be missed.
