Consider this…
Outside of the Longhorns and the Irish, who else would get this kind of love in the polls? You think Georgia would get that kind of bounce back, especially pre-Natty days?
Lest we forget Texass lost to Florida…barely squeaked by Kentucky, Vanderbilt, and only beat Mississippi State by a touchdown and a great amount of coaching malpractice.
Got a strong feeling Little Archie and TexAss are gonna begin their 2nd descent in the polls Saturday night in Athens. 😁

The SEC Network talking heads announced at the beginning of the year, the SEC runs through Trxas now.
Even though we whipped their ass at their house & on a neutral field
The committee has to have another two loss team in the top 10 in order to justify having Notre Dame included. ND, like Indiana last year, only played two decent teams all season. The Irish lost to both but they’re ‘quality loses.’ Texas? IDK. A loss to Florida isn’t exactly a quality loss. But like Notre Dame, Texas draws viewers. So, they’re in. Instead of conference championships perhaps we should use average viewership numbers to determine automatic qualifiers.
The committee and the media have a few darlings for which they will bend over backwards to justify their inclusion. The top four are Texas, tOSU, Bama, and Notre Dame. Michigan used to be on that list, but I’m guessing the cheating scandal has worn some of that shine off. USC might also be on that list, but it’s hard to say because they suck so hard.
To paraphrase SEC Shorts this week on Notre Dame: “Play two ranked teams a year. Lose to those two teams. Make the playoffs. Smart.”
thank you to all those that have served the USA
notre dame, USC, texas, tOsu, michigan, bama, flavor of the month G5(boise st, etc)… whatever the espn suits want to put in their tourney… time for Kirby & co to burn the MFing boats.
Rankings are all BS. Texas in the top 10, ND in the top 10, Texas A&M is not #1 or at least #2 after Indiana barely defeats the worst Penn State team in 20 years, Miami at #16 at 7-2, while ND, who was beaten by Miami and has no quality wins is at #9 and is also 7-2 (I guess it only matters WHEN you lose, so lose early).
Also, why is ESPN College Gameday going to be at the #9 ND vs #23 Pitt game this weekend when #4 Alabama is playing #11 Oklahoma and #5 Georgia is playing #10 Texas? I get it that they’ve already been to Athens & Tuscaloosa this year, but going on location for #9 vs #23? Of course, since one of those teams is Notre Dame, that’s all they care about AND they don’t want to be at an SEC location every week.
They need the video of Herbie and his dogs driving to the airport to fly in the WheelsUp jet to Athens. It’s all about the content, man…
Understanding the $$$$$$ and the burnt urunge brand they bring to the table, the actual value to the sec is in baseball, tennis and maybe hoops, definitely big haired women from northeast texass…..GO DAWGS!!
Never forget this bloated playoff system is nothing but a made-for-television enterprise trying to attract the most viewers and sell the most ads. It will be even worse when they inevitably expand it again.
