Another Sport, Another Downgrading for the SEC

You had to know that this was coming.

To be fair, there were a host of conference teams to get bounced from their regionals, including top seeds Texas and Vanderbilt. Tennessee also lost, so the cicadas known as Vowels fans have officially made all the noise they can and have died for the season. Not really, because they never shut up, so you know they’ll be chirping about Bobby Hill and the impending awesomeness that is the approaching football season.

In other news, Oklahoma did come back and beat ACC tourney champ UNC who will be on the verge of elimination on Monday, and Georgia Tech lost to Ole Miss, ending the Yellow Jackoff’s season. The Yech fans felt like they got hosed when it was announced they weren’t hosting a regional while Ole Miss did.

I’m sure Danny will gloss over that one, right?

  1. Danny has long suffered from SEC Derangement Syndrome. Probably an inferiority complex too. Maybe he’s third level trolling. Maybe he just enjoys being grumpy. Poor guy, can’t get much traction.*

*Well, he sucked me and JPMcDonough in. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  2. Will this shut Sankey up for awhile so we don’t have to hear from him until August??? Magic 8-ball says “no”!

  3. Baseball is such a weird sport. It is a sport that at its top does have parity.

We knew early in the season that this team was going to need to get the bats and pitching going at the same time to go deep into June. For much of the conference season and beyond, that didn’t happen.

  4. Danny can take his fisher price hammer and bang it around all he wants but football is still the Kang in the SEC and he still has a vag

  5. As a converted local, I’ve taken a real liking to USM’s baseball team. The crowd is nuts and a fun environment. And after watching the game last night vs Miami, I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some fireworks tonight in the game 7 rematch. Definitely some jawing, intentional hits and head high brushbacks by the Canes yesterday (hell, they hit 2 players in the head, one in the face to USM’s star), so I’ll do me best and cheer tonight to knock off a pseudo-ACC team.

    • Love it! Been keeping up with USM baseball for a number of years as I love the “little guy”. Hoping they finally make it to Omaha
