  1. If anyone walking in Gawds Country can turn an opposition football program into the dumpster, that individual would beeeeee…4 time SEC Academic Honor Roll, UGA graduate, 1st team All-SEC DB, Head Coach of UGA football, Mr. Kirby Paul Smart…GO DAWGS!!

  2. Chris DelConte gonna do Chris DelConte things. Sean Miller, Xavier, is expected to be the Longhorns next HC. Too bad our soft AD doesn’t have the testicular fortitude to pull the trigger and get us a Class A ball coach!

    • Let’s at least let White plateau first, TEX. He’s improved every year. If he can get us to being stuck at the Sweet 16 for a few seasons, then we can find a better coach.

  3. Until we start beating Alabama like we have everyone else, I would prefer to keep the Tide out of this.

    Watching the “Everything School,” the Barn and the Handbags turn into basketball schools makes this guy smile.

  4. Auburn now brags about being a basketball school. It’s basically all they talk about, even during football season. I like hoops too, but we are a football school that plays in a football conference.

  6. Can’t we just be both? We haven’t won a tourney game in over 20 years, that’s pretty ridiculous.

  7. Am I reading this correctly? Are you suggesting that Kirby has turned Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, and now Texas, into basketball schools? Remember the back to back national titles Florida won under Donovan? How about the success Tennessee had under Bruce Pearl? Do you know that Texas has more NCAA tourney appearances that we can dream of?

    And do you know the name Michael Tranghese? This is one of the two guys who built the Big East into a hoops giant in the late 70s. Guess who hired him in 2016 to oversee, guide, and build college basketball? Yep, the SEC. Think it is merely happenstance that the SEC is seeing success like they have never before seen? Not even close.
