Interesting question posed on Twix yesterday:
The first person who came to my mind:

Having Davis back in the interior for this season would soothe my soul.
What say you, Refugees?

#99, Abso-damn-lutely.
“I don’t really want to stop the show,
But I thought that you might like to know,
That the QB’s going to play along,
And he wants you all to play along,
So let me introduce to you.
The one and only #13, Stetson Bennett”…GO DAWGS!!
Davis was my first thought but I would take Carter or Wyatt. It’s truly amazing we had all three at the same time. I mean that’s not even fair.
Andrew Thomas
The answer is Herschel Walker. We have not been elite at the RB position for a few years now, and 2024 is no different.
I’m not sure elite at running back is necessary in today’s game. It’s a luxury. Make me elite on the D-line, and my team is a tough out.
After Herschel, I’d say AJ Green.
AJ in today’s game would be scary.
I would love to see what havoc Roquan could recreate on a KS team.
Yeah, Roquan. But if he declines then Greg Blue.
Under today’s rules Blue would only get to play in every other game. The man was a head hunter and I loved it.
If it’s just one player it has to Herschel Walker. After that it becomes a tuff choice to pick just one.
While JD is a DGD, I would take a guaranteed healthy Jalen Carter. He was a total game wrecking defensive tackle.
For those who say Herschel, can you imagine him split out like we did with James Cook and we catch a team in man to man, so he’s running a go route against a linebacker?
+1. Carter when motivated is a game changer.
David Pollack
William Mote graduated so we need whoever the long snappah was in 1980.
Post of the day!
This yeat? Don’t know yet. AJ Green is always a nice add.
Last year a healthy RB room. So, I’d go with Gurley, Chubb, Sony…. take your pick of RBs. Granted AJ on the outside takes some pressure off the RBs.
Brock Bowers!
Beat me to it!
Bowers? 100% healthy he gets Carson a Heisman. Or Stafford? Zero questions at the QB position and deserves another shot. Zeier? Same…wins a Heisman with gaudy stats. Stetson f’ing Bennett has NO CHANCE…so would win it all. Herschel is a game changer but today’s LBs are bigger and faster than in his time.
Guessing Kirby would want Carter or Davis…everything else he needs is in place.
All great picks above. I would not mind seeing Hines Ward as an X factor in this offense.
Hines as a blend of Dillon Bell and Ladd McConkey
Dude outran an explosion!
Nick Chubb.
Champ
Carter or Davis would be my pick
Richard Seymour…. People forget how dominant he was in the middle
Since most of his efforts were wasted by Quincy Carter. Best coaches call in show quote ever” Jim you hitched your wagon to Quincy Carter now your gonna ride out of Athens with him”
