The Laner is always good for a sound byte or two, but a transfer of power has happened in the SEC, and it is glorious:
If you had told me this in 2016, I’d have had you drug tested. We are breathing in rare air, Dawg fans. Let’s enjoy it while it lasts, which is hopefully longer than I can imagine.
In 2016 I thought why can’t that be us every season. I never thought it possible UGA would get past the Georgia way to where Kirby Smart has delivered this program. I’m all in for as long as it lasts.
King Kirby of House Georgia, the First of His Name, King of the Coaches and DawgNation and the Recruiting World, Lord of the SEC and Protector of the Hedges!
Understanding the rare air and all, 2016 was the launching of the “buy-in-process”, he knew if the team/staff could/would buy in, he was at the right/good place… CKS do love him some UGA, should he lead the team out of the tunnel on game days, it doesn’t bother me one bit cause, he graduated UGA, he is out and about in the Classic City, seems to be approachable, he has worn the jersey and probably left some skin and blood on that Sanford turf or on the opposition ass, born a south Georgian, he married a UGA studette, he is not afraid…Please, don’t get me started on why CKS is “Da Man” for UGA at this time and space…GO DAWGS!!
He didn’t just marry a UGA student, but another Dawg athlete. Marybeth bleeds as much red and black and Kirby does, and she won’t let him forget it.
Ole Nick saw the hand writing on the wall and said “F**K this Sh*t I’m out”. He was always in the forefront of college football but he knew the changes would make his life a living hell.
If we can pull out another national championship (sec championship would be nice too) Kirby and UGA will not only be head of the table but also the favored son in Birmingham.
