Good morning! Well, my Rams survived another round of the GHSA playoffs. The Dawgs are in the SECCG and all but a lock for the playoffs. At least I have the Dolphins to keep me from getting overly excited.

The remaining pieces of the conference championship games puzzle should be in place by the end of the day. Here are your friendly neighborhood TV listings for today:

  1. I hope OM never makes it to an SECCG. If Kiffin leaves it’ll be another 50 years before there is another chance of them making it. Also, I’d like to be the reason Bama doesn’t win another SEC title.

      • I’m kinda rooting for Miami. The more teams that finish 10-2 regular season the better the chance of whining Sark not making the playoffs.

  2. Today, I’m pulling for some good football weather (cold, snow, etc.) and absolute carnage. That’s about it.

  3. I’m conflicted on who to want as an opponent next week…
    I have to decide between pulling for AU or Bama..that’s tough.
    The few Georgia fans I’ve spoken with and comments on GTPR this morning seem to want ‘Bama over O’Miss.
    Since Bama has been seen as a near lock for weeks, I think the Gumps probably hold a zillion tickets to the game already. Prob the same with TAM fans. They likely hold a heap of tickets too.
    Georgia fans will be struggling to catch up…maybe the TAM fans will help us out with deals.
    This could be the one time that MBS isn’t home crowd friendly for us.
    If it’s O’Miss, the crowd is Dawgish by a bunch.
    If Drew Bobo is good to go, I like our chances either way.

  4. I guess Bama since they beat us so we should win the second game. I just want us to get healed up.

  5. And sometimes I hate CFB because it forces me to pull for Michigan today and I do hope they break it off in Ryan Day’s smug A.

  6. Texass fans are whining on social media after beating what is a flawed Texas A&M team about being “left out” of the playoff because they lost to anOSU. They lost to a team that could be 3-9 at day’s end and fired their coach a week after beating the Shorthorns. They are trying to memory hole the degree of ass whipping they took in Athens.

    • Longhorns are a bi-polar team. Yep, lost to Florida but also beat #3, #6, and #9. Gave an OSU their closest game yet.

  7. Can never pull for Auburn, Tennessee, or Florida.
    Let’s beat Bama & knock them out of the playoffs

    • I’d like to beat Bama also, but Auburn has to win for that to happen. So, even though I usually don’t gara about the Ironic Bowl I do this year. Because of my wants, Auburn probably wins. 🙁

      • If Auburn wins, we play Ole Miss. So if you want to beat Bama, you have to pull for them today.

        I also think if Bama makes the SECCG and we win, they’ll still be in the playoffs. If the committee doesn’t include the lower of that game, next year we’ll see a 24-team playoff with automatic bids.

  9. I want a second shot at Bama. If we get it, I think we’re SEC champs 2 years in a row.

  11. I was going to turn on “The Game” (2 mules fighting over a turnip per Lewis Grizzard). Fox had Corch’s face on the screen. I had to turn it before I punched my television.

I want to beat Bama, but it would be even more fun to do it in the playoffs where it matters/hurts the most, although, I’ll take it anyway I can get it and if it comes with an SEC Championship trophy, I won’t look a gift horse in the mouth, whatever the heck that means. I’m going to the game with my sons and they’ve suffered a Bama defeat already in Athens, I’d love for them to see in person how a motivated and loose Dawgs team turn the tide on those a-holes. Question, if we win the SEC do we secure a first round bye, or is it only for teams in the top 4?

  14. As much as I may hate Disney, think Thanksgiving I am thankful the SEC TV contract is not with Fox. Two Mules Fighting over a Turnip has the worst broadcast.

  19. Is DeBoer always such a whiny little bitch? He seems to be arguing with the line judge every play.

  22. Visiting family and got out to visit a small local bar earlier today, mostly LSU people. A woman decked out in Bama attire came up to me and dead serious said “Debour is getting fired after the game tonight and Kiffin will announce he’s coming to Alabama. He sucks and needs to get out of Tuscaloosa.” And then her husband came and doubled down. “Kiffin was wearing houndstoith earlier this week. It’s happening.” I swear it was like walking into a live in-person Finebaum call in.

    • Congratulations if you didn’t start laughing. I know I couldn’t have heard that pregame and not busted out laughing.

      Now if Bama loses to Auburn I could see it happening. Ole Miss makes the SECCG Kiffin leaves to take the Alabama job. That would play well on Finebaum Monday.

  24. Welp, Auburn won the middle 8 so I guess we’re playing Ole Miss. 😉 It’s just a matter of time. Maybe these two will play each other in the toilet bowl. Unless Greg drops a dime on the refs….

  25. So bama oline is allowed to grab face mask of opposing lineman during QB runs. Maybe it’s only legal if it results in a timely bama first down against Auburn.

  27. Auburn is gonna Auburn… (pass hits receiver in the hands and it flies right to the Bama defensive player)
    I told my son Auburn would score a touchdown, then go for two to win and fail – so they could lose in Auburn fashion. Not sure it will get to that.
