Everything’s predictably great in RTRd land after yesterday’s ass whooping of the Tide by the *checks notes* Florida State Seminoles.
I’ve argued this before, but I think the thing the Tide fans were spoiled by the most was Kirby Smart. Between relentless recruiting, top flight defenses, and consistency of the two, the Tide became more fallable once Smart came to Athens. Just my humble opinion, but I’ll own it.

That definitely ISN’T a Nick Saban coached team! I was surprised how FSU dominated Bama (especially in the run game), but it also shows you have quickly teams can rebound from bad recruiting and a bad year with the transfer portal. Can’t say that I like that and that I miss what could have been (a UGA dynasty) if things had stayed as they were.
The only good bammers are sad bammers.
The Noles pushed the Tide around. I still think there’s a culture problem in Tallahassee that will rear its ugly head when things go wrong.
No matter what the Tide faithful think … things did change when Kirby left for Athens. They changed again when Saban wouldn’t make Scott Cochran an on-field coach and he left for Athens.
Anyone who thinks DeBoer was Bama’s only candidate is kidding themselves.
Tomorrow afternoon on the SEC Network should be glorious if F-bum is on.
Haven’t watched that Gump love fest since last season, but you can bet your last dollar I’ll be tuned in. Really only watch if they lose to hear all the crying. 😁
Bama may have had options but, you never want to be the man following the man.
DeBoer was the hot item of the moment and was naive to take the job. But, he’ll get paid and go back to a mid tier Big10 school and/or spend some time in the booth babbling about the game.
He’s the first 18 year old to lose at Doak. So amazing. Much wow.

I just heard that DeBoer has lost to 4 unranked teams as Bama’s head coach while Saban also lost to 4 unranked teams in 17 seasons.
I heard that too, but was struggling to figure out the third from last season. Was it Michigan in the bowl game? Were they unranked?

Kirby has everything he wants in Athens, I think he’s good. Methinks Kiffin would be the front runner for an Alabama HC position, if Saban doesn’t choose to do it himself. He said offseason he’s restless. Coming back and rejuvenating the program would be right up his alley.
IMHO- I’ve been thinking it’s Dan Lanning. Kiffin seems to have settled into the smaller school/lesser expectations. He might’ve even slowed down to enjoy what he has since his dad died and has a daughter in college in Oxford. …but don’t bet on anything I say in this era of football 🤷♂️

Kirby looked 3-4 years away from the men’s grill at ACC yesterday! I made a statement to my wife concerning that and she agreed.
