  1. That offensive performance was outstanding. After the first drive, the defense did a great job until Kirby took the starters out.

Time to focus on the Shorthorns.

    • Bobo’s offense is looking dangerous right now. Could come into perfect shape for a playoff run if the football gods smile on us.

      • Mississippi State was no world beating defense, but we were playing dealer’s choice all day. I thought Bobo had a good plan, and the team executed it.

        • 38 unanswered on the road against anybody is good. Miss State beat Arizona State earlier this year.

Defense finally attacked and I liked the results.

          • I’m not Dawggrading the performance. Only making a statement that we did today what we should do against an opponent where we have better talent. Felt good that the game was over in the 3rd quarter.

  2. Got exactly what I wanted to see from Bobo and the offense. More use of speed and power blocking on the edge in the running game, more use of the TEs and more deep shots. With a lead like we had the D is good enough. I do wonder if NIL is influencing substitutions. Not contractually but to keep everyone happy. Branch and Delp seem to be on the field all the time but Bell, Humphries, Thomas, Elias, and the running backs rotate in and out so much it’s hard to believe there is a rhythm. Our rotations are so far from yesteryear when the same guys would play just about every down it seems odd.

    • A big reason playoff contending teams substitute more that teams did in the days of 11 game season plus 1 bowl game is that we have to prepare for the possibility that our guys may have to play. 16 games. You don’t want or starting skill guys worn out in December or January. Also in those old days defensive lineman weighed in the 250 pound range and LBs were in the 215 pound range. Teams cannot ride the hot hand” game after game effectively any more.

      • Very interested to find out that answer. There were a few plays I watched him and the young man is nasty. He will definitely put someone on the ground and just pour it on while on top of them. Real football. Beat them and then embarrass them. I hope he is ready for tex-Ass.

    • Yeah it hurts losing Luckie. I hope he goes through the entire concussion protocols and doesn’t rush it. Not worth it at all.

  3. It was really nice to be able to enjoy a stress free second half. Another good day calling plays for Bobo. It appeared some of the calls were just to break tendencies. Gunner looked very comfortable and in complete control of the offense. The RB committee was able to break away from first contact repeatedly strong effort.

Their QB’s did miss some easy passes. Finally getting to a QB was really nice. CJ Allen has grown in what this defense has been missing. A dude that you’re forced to account for. The front seven had a really solid game. Hopefully no serious injuries today. Not playing with their food putting it away early and getting lots of people reps. That’s another big step towards peaking at the right time of year.

  4. I was playing Bwana for my son and his buddies, so I didn’t get to see it. Sounds like CMB made the Bizzaro’s fetch him a stick to beat them with. Go Dawgs!

  5. Great day for the Classic City canines! Both lines played physical and definitely raised some pop-knots on MSU noggins. Hopefully our players that got banged up today will be ready for the Baja Oklahoma invasion next week!

  6. I don’t drink during game when watching at home…unless we are winning going away! Nice to finally enjoy a buzz before 4th quarter was over.
    Go Dawgs

  7. When the 2nd string qb is in 3rd quarter up by 31 it was a great day.

  8. Wow, Frazier went for 181 today. I knew he had a good day but didn’t realize he was close to that.

  9. I was comfortable with Gunner at QB before the season began, but he has really developed into a special talent over the course of the season. He must have a good QB coach. 😉

Also, really fun to watch the defense and the running backs prosper. Some will say it was just Mississippi State, but this is the same team that beat ASU, and took Texas and Tennessee into OT, and it was at their house. It’s great to be a Georgia Bulldog.
