The weekend that was at Message Board Geniuses – week 6

Has anyone thrown a brick through my window yet?

Last weekend, writing this feature sucked. This week’s edition of our tour of the message board universe is sublime. Let’s start our tour out west in the land of hippies, Berkeley.

This feature is normally saved for losers, but Canes’ fans are some of the most fair weather of them of all. Miami is going to win the ACC and get a first round bye for winning that joke of a league. It seems the fans down there truly can’t stand Cristobal, amd they better hope John Ruiz keeps the NIL money flowing.

Let’s head up to the Twin Cities to see how the Boy Wonder is doing.

At this point, does anyone think Lincoln Riley is going to turn things around in LA? I doubt there’s a single player on Minnesota’s roster that ever held a USC offer. USC doesn’t get into the 20s and gives up 2 TDs in the 4th quarter. I’m guessing at this point Boy Wonder’s agent is looking through the contract to make sure he can’t be tarmac-ed.

Let’s go check in on Mizzou in College Station.

The Paper Tigers of Missouri get blown out of top 10 by the AgCult, but I think the genius above didn’t fully understand the extent of fail at Kyle Field. 41 points and 512 yards of total offense yielded by the Missouri defense. No doubt Cook played terribly, but plenty of blame to spread around for a total faceplant.

Let’s go check in with the geniuses in Tooth Nation in Fayetteville-nam.

The Vowels had a very bad day in northwest Arkansas as the Hogs pull the upset. Watching Tennessee fans melt down is a glorious sight. They’ve gone from Heisman Trophy and national championship to the season is over and Nico sucks. All I have to say to that is, “Pass the popcorn” because they are going to get mauled a couple more times this year.

Let’s take a moment to swing by the Classic City to check in on the Greater Opelika Cow College.

Watching Barners complain about officiating cracks me up. From the school that suspended $Cam Newton for a practice and relished in Nick Fairley’s tactics, any thought that the SEC has it in for them is hilarious on its face. 8IAR and 9 out of 10 in the Smart era. Face it, Tigers. Georgia is your daddy, and the Sanford curse is no more.

I do have to get in one comment about our Georgia geniuses, but these were in the stadium about 3 rows behind me rather than behind a keyboard or touchscreen. They bitched the whole game about Mike Bobo and everyone on the offense. They were the epitome of “Tell us you don’t know football without telling us you don’t know football.” Idiots.

Our tour ends in Music City for a yummy serving of schadenfreude to the Bammers. Plenty of geniuses were out and about yesterday afternoon.

DeBoer’s honeymoon is officially over after a craptastic performance against Vanderbilt. The Finebaum show should be filled with tasty Roll Tears Roll this week. The Commodores trolled Bama and Nick Saban after the game. I guess Bama took their foot off the gas from the opening snap because Bama never led in the game.

None of this takes away the pain of the loss last week, but this was pretty awesome to see.

What did you see on Saturday that was particularly genius-like? Let us know in the comments below.

I've been a Dawg my entire life. UGA was always my dream school where I received 2 Terry College degrees and met my DGD wife. I've been a season ticket holder for over 30 years and love the in-stadium experience over anything from Section HD. My first game in Sanford Stadium was the 1981 Auburn game where we clinched the SEC championship. The best game I've attended in person was the Midnight Miss against Ohio State (nite, nite!). The best home games I've attended were the 1984 Clemson game (the Butler did it) and the 2013 LSU game (that 4th down is still the loudest single moment I've experienced between the hedges). The game I love to win is against the Handbags (FTMF), and the game I hate to lose is the NATS (Tuck Fech).

  1. Arkansas playing Rocky Top after the game was funny as a MF. And Vandy showing the Saban clip about Vandy being the easiest place to play in the conference. 🤣

  2. Until proven otherwise, Bama is undisciplined.
Did anyone see that Malachi Moore did the same thing in the UGA game(did not get a flag) as he did in the Vandy game(and got a flag)? That kind of shit never happens under Saban…in fact bama players wouldn’t even think about doing something like that.
Let the bama “shula” like slide continue. Can’t wait til they come to Athens next yr. I hope our boys will be ready to put an epic smackdown.

  3. M. Moore = kicked the football after the ref placed it down and ready for play.
Maybe Kirby was playing 3d chess in “losing” to them?

  4. My favorite is the one guy complaining about Saban leaving them to die with a 90% blue chip roster. Close second is the dude whose sister-wife had her wedding day ruined by the Bama loss.

    • What football fan intentionally schedules their wedding on game day? If you have to have a fall wedding, do it on a bye week.

      • Exactly! Although I guess they took Vandy about as seriously as their team did since they scheduled the wedding for that date. Guess they considered it an off week also.

Guessing that marriage won’t last long considering they were more focused on wrapping the ceremony up during halftime than the thought of actually getting married to each other…lol.

Reminds me of my favorite Bama joke…what do you call the perspiration created by two Bama fans having sex?

        ….relative humidity.

        #nofallweddings

      • Only reason to have a fall wedding is the baby is due in December. Otherwise, there are 162 baseball games you can miss for a wedding.

  5. The SEC needs to asses two unsportsman like conduct penalties on Malachi Moore and suspend him for the South Carolina game.

  6. I mean… what’s wrong with a head coach wearing a T-shirt to the game? Not judging just haven’t seen it before.

      • Just to add to this, one of our interns is a student at Bama. He can’t stand that DeBoer wears a t-shirt on the sideline.

  7. Ya know, I could almost see Ole Corch trying it on again at Southern Cal. He’s only 60.

  8. Yassuh cltdawg, Bama fans are melting dooowwwnnnnnnnn. That idiot Legend is about ready to burn down something. 🤣
    FTMF….and HBTFD

  9. Man, it’s so much easier to be a UGA fan today than a week ago. Schadenfreude is real, and it’s delicious. Did you know Ryan Williams is only 17, he’s super talented (for real), and he’s the youngest player in CFB history to lose to Vandy,😬😉

  10. Some great comments above! I’m tickled about the loss & the slack attire & discipline & hope it shows some real problems in the program. But I’ll reserve my judgment till later. I recall the near loss to Nichols, fortunate win at Mizzou, beatdown at Ole Miss & inexplicable loss at home to Vandy. I hope it’s a match made in hell cause no one deserves it more than Bama. Guess we’ll see…
