The kids are growing up – #1 edition

Is this good?

Robinson has been emblematic of a young team improving as the season has progressed. He and Demello Jones are going to be special.

I've been a Dawg my entire life. UGA was always my dream school where I received 2 Terry College degrees and met my DGD wife. I've been a season ticket holder for over 30 years and love the in-stadium experience over anything from Section HD. My first game in Sanford Stadium was the 1981 Auburn game where we clinched the SEC championship. The best game I've attended in person was the Midnight Miss against Ohio State (nite, nite!). The best home games I've attended were the 1984 Clemson game (the Butler did it) and the 2013 LSU game (that 4th down is still the loudest single moment I've experienced between the hedges). The game I love to win is against the Handbags (FTMF), and the game I hate to lose is the NATS (Tuck Fech).

  1. Thank you for sharing, Tennessee had no business being up on us other than getting lucky that our DBs were young.

    • I don’t know, TB. Teams aren’t really throwing at Everette much since he’s on the boundary most of the time (I haven’t looked at the stats). I think the big difference is nickel/star. Aguero has not gotten better in coverage. He looks like a safety in man coverage against wide receivers. That’s probably just my lyin’ eyes.

      • Agreed, Aguero has not matched the production of previous Star/Nickle players. I’m bummed he hasn’t had some bigger moments this season.

  2. 15 has improved drastically. He is physical and aggressive. 1 is getting better as well. I would look at 15 for the star position and 8 to safety.

  3. I didn’t want to play in the SECCG, but here we are. That said, I think that what we are watching on the defensive side of the ball for the Dawgs from late September against Bama to now is the biggest improvement that has been made on the Georgia team as a whole. I could be wrong, and often am, but I don’t foresee this defense in early December giving up 13-19 on 3rd downs like they did in September. I don’t know if it translates into a win on Saturday because my concerns about the offense that were put out in early November are back to a five-alarm fire, but I think that the defense should play much better than they did in late September.

  4. Well it’s a young team and the portal will take some for sure. Without Bobo anchoring the OLine we are in big trouble on offense. I am now in full Munson mode.

  5. Defense has shown great improvement since the Miss State game on. I think they keep us in the game Saturday and I just hope Gunner is over his Benz nerves.
