Let all the Bulldog faithful rally behind the men who now wear the red and black with two words, two simple words which express the sentiments of the entire Bulldog Nation: Auburn Sucks.
Kirby should f***in’ outlaw screen passes. Tell Bobo that the next time he calls one, his ass is fired.

Everyone runs screens. In the world of the spread with 11 personnel, that is the toss sweep where you get on the edge with a blocker or 2 in front. Many times a WR screen is the P of the RPO.

Thank you for bringing reason to this thread.

Agree that sweeps are useful..but doubt if it’s as useful as a toss sweep..The chance of a pic-6…the chance of a dropped or badly thrown balls…and the fact that on a toss sweep, all of the blockers and the runner are at full speed when they contact the defense.
On a screen the receiver stands there waiting on the ball while the defenders close on him…and he has to start from 0 MPH. I don’t hate or like the screen.. but I’d rather see an option sweep (very doable with Gunner) where there is some kinetic energy involved.

I’m not saying it’s right or wrong. I’m saying how everyone uses the screen game like teams used the toss in today’s spread. The screen is many times the pass option in the RPO because players can block downfield if the ball is thrown behind the line of scrimmage.
Is the execution of the screen game much more difficult and brings a different kind of risk? Absolutely but it has always been the response to defenses who try to cause havoc with blitzing.

I’m amazed that after two games, one of which we looked pretty damn good, we’ve decided things are exactly like last year if not worse. I watched Radi Nabulsi’s post game overreaction show, and despite the title Radi is usually pretty level headed. People are absolutely panicking. Why are Georgia fans so freaking crazy?

I don’t speak for “panicked” Georgia fans. But I have a hard time believing that what we’ve witnessed is just fluff and that the “real” UGA offense will be revealed next week against UT. Its obvious there’s a ton to work on and I can’t honestly say we can hang our hat with confidence on any aspect of this offensive attack, based on what we’ve seen thus far. I can only hope the staff hones in on who can perform consistently and “weed out the non-hackers” I can only hope they improve with practice and work on getting the ball down the field. Lastly I can only hope our defense can keep us in the game until this offense finds its way.

You’re basing this off one game. All Im saying is, let’s see a little more before we decide the offense is a pile of shit. I know that’s not as exciting or as much fun or as dramatic as making bold declarations after one game. If we care about the actual facts the offensive line actually played a lot better in the second half yesterday. The problem in the first half was pass protection and innthe second half Gunner had plenty of time to throw.

Because we see the potential this program has and for another year it’s obvious we’ve chosen to be average offensively instead of great.

Through two games nothing is obvious. That’s the issue. So many of y’all go off half cocked based on very little. The calls for Puglisi are a perfect example. You don’t know anything about Puglisi but it has already been decided that he’s better based on some garbage time mop up sneak peeks. But the fans have seen plenty and they know. Just like they knew Gunner was better than Beck the whole time Gunner was the back up. Aint a damn thing “obvious” yet beyond the defense appears to be pretty stout.

Playing Puglisi won’t matter. Just as playing Gunner last year wouldn’t have mattered.

Everyone bitched, moaned and groaned about the 2025 UGA football season had to start…sooooo, now the season is an abysmal offensive disaster….Dr. Ron Courson ain’t coming out of the medical tent any time soon, O line health just might be more important than we all know….GO DAWGS!!

“We’ve chosen to be average offensively instead of great.”
YOU LET THE SECRET OUT, you whistleblower!
You must be on the support staff and overheard those summer coaches’ meetings when Kirby and the offensive staff planned the strategy. Bobo mafe a recommendation and Smart said, “No, that would make us too great. Coley, what do you suggest?” Coley made a recommendation and Smart said, “Hell no! We would be to great! Crawford, what you got?”
Crawford gave his suggestion and Smart yelled, “Damn it, we would be too good. Searels, the guys on the internet who are the real experts say you can make our offense average. Help me out here.”
Stacy speaks his mind and Kirby flipped out. “Shit. You guys are missing my goal to be average, damn it. Hartley. I ain’t asking you shit because your guys have been too good. I’ll have to get an internet code name and ask the fans for an average offense.”
Thanks for revealing the fact we chose to be average and not great.

This is not bad but…
You have to preface with: “Deep in the bowels of Stegman, the Circle begins the ritual…”

And people are already calling for Puglisi. After two freaking games. One of which we won handily. They want the backup quarterback. The whole time Beck was the starter they screamed for Gunner and after two games they want Puglisi and act like they have seen enough to know Puglisi is better. Georgia has some of the worst fans in college football. And don’t give me that “Munson” shit either. Larry Munson was an announcer. His job was to make things dramatic. Y’all really don’t understand that? If we get to the Florida game and the offense isn’t functioning then you would have a point. But after really one game? Shut the hell up.

For me it’s a mild disappointment disorder that goes back for years, most notably during the Richt-Bobo period when I really started to pay attention to the team. My gut tells me that CMB is a drag on the team. I know a couple of players he coached that weren’t crazy about him, but some of the guys that work for me think I’m an asshole too, so I’ll take that for what it’s worth. Some of my concerns from yesterday?
That quick throw to the wideout is gonna get picked for six. Gunner was receiver gazing from the count.
Our running backs are easily tackled.
Oline looked like shit.
We’ll find out Saturday night what we’ve got. The vowels are gonna be a tough out. Go Dawgs

Was it during the Donnan or Richt years I first heard. Don’t worry about the offense we are saving the real plays for our first real game. It was a dud performance against a cupcake. Cash and Branch both dropped TD catches on the same goal line failure.
Win next week and all that means nothing.

Kirby knows more about our Dawgs than anyone and he was clearly pissed off with our offensive effort. I am really worried about next week at kneeland.

Kirby is more responsible to us Dawgs than anyone. I got a little tractor time to reflect today; I’m not cool with where we’re at.

Personally, when I want to neutralize my emotions and bias , I try to think of a situation as if I had invested a lot of money in it. You have to give a trade room to breathe, but you also have to have a stop loss in place. Not a mental stop loss but a hard one that you actually have in place. My Bobo investment is getting close to the stop loss.

Gentlemen…this is a football. WR, TE and RBs need to be walking around campus this week holding one. If they even go on campus anymore.

I want Gunner to have all the success in the world, but I’ve been worried ever since the Notre Dame game last year. In the postgame presser, Kirby said he wants to see Gunner perform in games like he does in practice, so he must have another gear that we just haven’t seen yet. I trust that the coaches see and know more than us fans, but I’m gonna keep on fretting until Gunner shows he can do more in the passing game.
I’m thrilled that Beck is having success at Miami. He’s as good of a passer as he always was, and he seems to be having a much better time down there (displaying much more Fire, Passion, & Energy). Good for him.
