Stripe Sanford Saturday

If you have tickets, you’re not going to let CJ Allen down, are you?

G.A.T.A.

I’ll be there in my best Saturday red.

Be early. Be loud. Be the home field advantage.

I've been a Dawg my entire life. UGA was always my dream school where I received 2 Terry College degrees and met my DGD wife. I've been a season ticket holder for over 30 years and love the in-stadium experience over anything from Section HD. My first game in Sanford Stadium was the 1981 Auburn game where we clinched the SEC championship. The best game I've attended in person was the Midnight Miss against Ohio State (nite, nite!). The best home games I've attended were the 1984 Clemson game (the Butler did it) and the 2013 LSU game (that 4th down is still the loudest single moment I've experienced between the hedges). The game I love to win is against the Handbags (FTMF), and the game I hate to lose is the NATS (Tuck Fech).

  1. Absolutely this love idea! I would like to add one small and inexpensive suggestion…hand out color matching shakers at the gate, or at the entrance to each section. We highly underutilize the shaker.

  2. Is this a first? I don’t recall this being done before. A little fake-juicy, but whatever makes the crowd happy and loud. I’ll be in the section HD armchair!

  3. Looking at stripesanford.com, it’s no so much stripes as it is big blocks. If y’all are gonna do it, it would look better if it was actual alternating colors by section. I also saw where someone in the Twixter comments noted that the white sections are those behind the goalposts. Is that going to give the kickers trouble?

  4. Wow, a little fun added to the fan experience. The past 18 games have had some slogs. I want to look back and see that Gunnar’s Superman took the pressure off and everybody that bleeds Red & Black (and the bandwagoners) gets rowdy and celebrates a Bulldog Saturday Night!!!!! After we whip Mississippi and ten(?) more wins down the road!

  5. Let’s not let that hard working DGD down Saturday. Let’s get after their asses from the time they come out of the tunnel. It’s their QB’s first road start. I’m packing extra throat lozenges expecting to need every one of them. Sign of my age it used to be I snuck in liquid motivation now it’s throat lozenges.

  6. Sounds great!
Off subject..(sorry ee)…But I want to mention a current, brain eating virus called GDS (Georgia Derangement Syndrome).
You likely know someone who is infected.
It is debilitating at best and seems to do it’s work in more deadly fashion on those with an already depleted plate of grey matter and also nerdy types with pencil necks.
The CDC is working on it but their work took a big hit last Saturday somewhere just west of Opelika.
You know who’s had the biggest meltdown over the crumble? Not my Auburn acquaintances..but Junior and LULU!
It seems they are so frustrated by UGA’s dominance over the Vols that they seek to win vicariously through any UGA opponent. You would think that Bama’s win (and dominance) over UGA would assuage their GDS somewhat but it hasn’t. THIS is how you know that Kirby has broken them!
They have GDS and it’s complicated by KDS!
