North Avenue Transfer School

Buster Faulkner left, and apparently Brent ain’t the key to keeping talent in Atlanta.

At Tech, you can do that, right? Also, can you have ever imagined in a million years that one hated rival would just trade their parts with another hated rival?

I keep saying it, but we live in golden times.

  1. Hope it turns out horribly for both teams. Faulkner must have been mucho pissed that Kirby didn’t hand him the keys to the offense when Monken left. Seems like he’s doing everything he can to be a thorn in our sides. Tek and now Floriduh?
Doubt he will ever sniff a shot with us again…or a win…😁

    • Whit, not everything in the world is about UGA. Tech, a power 5 program, offered him a job as an offensive coordinator. That is a big step up from analyist. What made the offer even more attractive was that the job was close enough to his house that he could commute to work every day and his son could stay at the high school at which he played. That was the motive for taking the carer advancement and big raise. As for Florida, his son is graduating high school and signed with Georgia Southern. The Florida OC job is a much better job than GTU and is a career advancement for him as well.
There isn’t a coach in America who would suggest these moves are revenge moves.

    • I believe he left Athens on good terms, and I’d believe Kirby would be more than interested in him when Bobo chooses to part ways…although promoting Hartley and keeping his recruiting prowess would be a logical next step, as well. Can’t help but notice that Hartley is pictured directly next to Bobo on most of those booth shots, and I don’t think that’s by accident.

  2. This is so good. Allegedly, Tech offered Philo $3 million to stay.

I have enjoyed giving my son grief the past few days about his new football team…lol. He is a freshman at Tech, unfortunately…lol. I don’t think he really rooted for either team on Red & Black Friday, but I do know he rooted for Tech the rest of the season. He does seem to have a realistic about them. All year he talked about how eak their schedule was and how bad the defense is. I can tell he is frustrated about the coaching staff being gutted and now the future QB leaving though.

    • Apparently 1.5 mil over two years, and he also just inked a deal to be the spokesperson for one of those Southern Outfitter groups, so no telling how much of that is wrapped up in sponsorships. If you peep the viewership for Florida comparative to Tech, he’d likely get a sweeter portion of a bigger pot by being in the Florida Gator market.

  3. It will be interesting to hear from all my Tech relatives this Christmas season. They thought Faulkner, Haynes King and Key walked on water, I wonder if they might have changed their minds? Faulkner and that pit called Gainesville deserve each other. I. hope it turns out awful for all parties involved and Sumrall is Sunbelt Billy 2.0. Other than that, “peace on earth, good will to men”.

  4. My guess is that while Florida is no longer every Tech fan’s second favorite team for the moment, will they come around by late October and attempt to live vicariously through Florida and claim these are “their guys” and they’re gonna crush us…..

  5. Hey, Jacketasses, life comes at you fast. I read so many tweets over the last couple of weeks about how “Philo was going to dominate the dwags for the next few years.”

To the head Jacketass, November is coming. 9 in a row will destroy the only thing your fan base has left.

  6. Tweets like Playboi Ghandi’s (aka Virgin McPimpleface) don’t convince players to stay? Who knew?

Meanwhile, in Athens, our program and fans rallied around Devon Gales.

  7. my goodness the nerds are the gift that keeps on giving the whole year… Clark the shitter is full!

  8. On account of,
    I’m a cosmopolitan kind of guy…
I thought Philo was a kind of layered dough. Obviously Faulkner knew that Philo was dough and not a QB.
Sumbody get Key a box of tissue. I ain’t never seen no one cry as much as him!! He’s an affront to offensive linemen!!

  9. Florida’s ongoing demise and tech’s “great” ascension is resulting into the perfect merger of two programs that will perpetually suck. Throw in a dose of Auburn and I’m really digging our new permanent rival structure.
