Musical Palate Cleanser – 10,000 Maniacs

In our light postings on a quiet Saturday, we hit a benchmark for our continued experiment to keep GTP alive here at Refugees:

10,000 visitors

Thanks to all of you who keep coming, commenting, and collaborating to keep our community of rabid Dawg fans going.

Go Dawgs!

  1. She always seemed cool without even trying. They wrote some very solid lyrics.

  2. congrats on hitting 10,000 visitors!

I, along with everyone else, obviously, very much miss Senator Blutarsky. I must compliment you and the other contributors not only for keeping this version going, but for the addition of other Dawg sports. This site does not feel at all like a watered-down tribute version. I really enjoy it on its own and look forward to reading every morning.

I have a feeling that once the season gets here, the site traffic will escalate rapidly

  3. I also miss the Senator and Ranger, but you guys are doing a great job.

    Thanks

  4. Thanks to all you junior Senators for making this site your own and giving us a place to gather and discuss all things DAWGS!

And Happy Father’s Day to all you MFs out there!

  5. I may be showing my ignorance, but is that 10,000 individual URLs or 10,000 total visits?

    • allow me to show my ignorance as well, but I think it’s URLs. Our average daily views is 300, so it could be 150 people viewing from two different places, or it could be 300 people. I’m happy with either. Just glad we are all talking with each other, sir.

  6. I know you didn’t post the benchmark for a pat on the back, but you’re going to get one anyway. Maintaining a blog of this nature is a Herculean task and you seem well up to it. You’ve made the “dead time” almost tolerable. GREAT JOB! GO DAWGS!

  7. Just wait for the preseason, this place will be on fire. Keep up the great work.

  8. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads on here. Glad that this place is going strong. Thinking of the Senator’s family today on their first Father’s Day without him. As much as we miss him they miss him more.

  9. She has the best voice of any woman I’ve ever heard sing.

I miss the senator. Every time I look at the GTP bookmark on my phone I get sad.

  10. When I jumped out and reserved a WordPress site for this, I had no idea what would happen. I just knew I didn’t want the Senator’s community to just up and disappear. Sean has been great, and so have all the others who have stepped up to contribute, I figured out quickly that I am not a writer. But, I am so happy this has grabbed hold and is moving along. It’s all I could have hoped for.
