First, it sounds like we placed an Alabama-Auburn tradition in the heart of UGA’s campus. Second, where’s the fucking pool?
If I had my druthers, I’d drag a kiddie pool out everyday until they arrested me and took me to the ACC jail.
Wouldn’t be the first time, anyway.

Hate that the pool is gone, but I will say they did a nice job with the space. If it isn’t closed off for VIPs that will make a nice tailgating area for the Legion Pool lot parking pass holders.
Figure it’s closed off for VIP Tailgates and parking in a manner that screwed long timers over. The Georgia Way monetizes always.
Is that a hockey ice rink in the background? I hope so…more justification for an increase in tuition costs (and I know…this was paid for by donations, blah, blah, blah). Truth is this stuff is why college leadership has an insatiable appetite for football revenue. Gotta build more stuff!
I have seen waaay better scenery there! Just don’t have quite the eye appeal it had. Spring qtr it was heaven on earth!! Oh well, money moves the needle!
This sucks. I saw Outkast there in 1996, swam at the pool on lots of hot townie Summer days. I have some friends that tailgate at that lot. I was surprised to hear from them last season about how despite the amount they pay each year that their space (on the Lumpkin side) is not reserved so they have to wait in line at 2 AM til the lot opens at 530 AM to get in to “their” spot.
Damn, couldn’t be more of a generic space now. At least I have my memories.
