Great story that dropped on the georgiadogs.com website yesterday.
Lassiter, a native of Savannah, Ga., who the Texans drafted in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft, has contributed $4,000 back to the UGAAA, signifying his No. 4 Texans jersey. His donation is earmarked to help cover costs associated with tuition, fees, room and board and other necessary items.
“This gift is me trying to give back to the University, a place, the people who poured so much into me,” said Lassiter. “Throughout my time at Georgia, I learned so much and met so many people who laid their hands on my life and I can never fully repay the University of Georgia and the Athletic Association back for that. This is something small that I can do for the people who come after me because I want to leave the place better than how I found it. I feel like this is a small token for all of the lessons, the memories and for everything I learned while in Athens. This is a place I can always come back to, it’s home. Georgia gave me the opportunity to chase my dreams, get an education and make my people proud, and now I am in the NFL. It’s my duty to give back.”
DGD. Let’s keeping adding this culture to our football team, and we’ll be alright.

DGD. I am very pleased with the type of person and type of players we are getting from Savannah, like Nolan Smith.
Grateful for players who still tell the world their school matters. We’ll see how long this lasts going forward.
I really like the positive press that Kirby and the program is receiving from players in the NFL. It says a lot. Hell, even Jalen Hurts commented about the Eagle’s defense bringing that Georgia culture.
He is a DGD.
He is a DGD and we have the
best coach in football (not just college) and that makes the team and DGD like Lassiter
say and do things that make the University proud.
Love these guys. Royce Smith told me that you don’t realize how much you love your college coach until you have been gone for a few years. The pros don’t give a crap about you growing as a man, they just have to win.
DGD Mr. Lassiter and a Damn good man, Coach Kirby Smart.
