I’m so glad that $cam was in the audience to witness this.
Also, this…
Suck it, Barners. Nine in a row.
As a reminder, for all your Auburn friends whining about the play, show them this:

Arnold wasn’t getting in on his own, and he was literally being carried into the end zone.
Auburn didn’t get all those fake championships the honest way, you know?
Really glad you posted this. McDonough and McElroy’s incessant bleating about this the rest of the night was insufferable but in the end made it even better. Once the call was made McElroy muttered “I don’t believe this.” When Kirby told the official he was clapping and didn’t ask for a timeout (he wasn’t clapping but that whole thing cracked me up) McDonough shrieked “So he just gets a do over?!!” I finally feel like we got them back for 2010. This is a very flawed team and at this point Im not sure how good they even are. But they are hard to kill. They don’t give up.
Kirby was clapping. He said post game that Auburn defenders were clapping during our snap cadence. That is a penalty. He said that he was calling for a flag, showing the official what Auburn was doing and he said, “They’re clapping.” He also noted that we didn’t need a timeout because we would have gotten the ball snapped on time.
lol. I call bullshit but it doesn’t bother me. If Kirby found new and creative ways to screw Auburn that suits me just fine.
Second
You can hear him say to the ref “He is clapping” on the audio replay. What exactly is BS about that?
Don’t get triggered, man. Good gracious a bunch of y’all are wound too tight.
Kirby was definitely signaling time out. When he got it he began yelling about the clapping. Its possible that Kirby knows what he was thinking/saying/screaming but didn’t/doesn’t know what his hands were doing.
The two of them were total douches last night.
And how many times did those dipshits describe Auburn’s first half as “Total domination by Auburn!!” They were winning 10-3.
C’mon, Mike. I hate the announcers as much as you, but let’s be honest. They dominated us up to that fumble like nobody I’ve seen in the Kirby era. They had run something like 4 times as many plays and had 5 or 6 times our yardage. The only reason they had only scored twice is because each of their drives took 8-10 minutes.
I’m talking about score, man. If they were so dominant it wouldn’t have taken them four forever a to score that whopping ten points. Im not going to argue with y’all about this. We are a very flawed team but I’m going to enjoy beating those assholes now. Go Dawgs.
Not trying to argue. Just saying that they dominated us. There are two ways to dominate. One is what Tenn did to us in Q1 of that game where they scored a lot on explosive plays. The other is what Auburn did to us last night, grinding it down the field slowly, converting every 3rd down, and nearly breaking our will. And their D was killing us too. Three drives and 12 plays in 28 minutes of football? That’s insane for a Kirby team.
And I agree with you that we’re flawed. We’re flawed from a coaching and preparation standpoint. We clearly showed in the 2nd half that our players are still studs and that the coaches can adjust. But why oh why do we start every game playing like a middle school team in their first ever game?
If Georgia had been ahead 10-3 with the same circumstances the comment section here would be on fire with how we had held the ball all this time only had a 10-3 lead to show for it. Nobody would be calling it total domination. They just wouldnt. That’s all Inhave to say about that.
Beyond that I stand by McDonough and McElroy are both cry baby jerks with anti Georgia bias, I feel like Fred Gwynn as the judge in My Cousin Vinnie and I want Cam Newton to explain that outfit, and I love that Auburn thinks they got screwed. Freeze plying the victim clearly transferred to his team. Go Dawgs
You should have seen the second half. We outscored (dominated) them 17-0.
Thank God the players decided to overcome their coaching in the second half. If they could only disregard their coach’s guidance earlier in a game, I think Gunner would throw the ball accurately and one or more of our front guys would whip the guy across from him’s ass.
I really do.
While I’m at it: That last drive in the 4th was a thing of beuaty. That little bit of fog in the stadium was the spirit being crushed out of a hated rival, Anaconda style. Nay, more like the last scene in “Terminator” where the press crushes inexorably until the little red light finally… goes out. BWAHAHAAH

I have my analogy for that drive coming up.
Sherman’s march to Savannah?
too soon.
way too soon!
My only regret is that Penn Wagers wasn’t the rules analyst/former ref on the ABC broadcast team. The meltdown would’ve made the win even sweeeeter!
You see the Auburn coaches (I believe it was that miscreant DJ Durkin) cursing at the officials as they left the field at halftime. I remember Mark Richt of all people saying something on the sideline to Wagers at Auburn and getting flagged for it.
I remember. CMR told them they were the best crew in the sec.
Apparently, sarcasm is considered unsportsmanlike.
I saw it was Auburn’s AD.
Before the non-timeout I think I saw the Frantic Kirby Timeout signal on the sideline. Could be wrong. Can somebody post the early part of that sequence.
Also, the Can Newton non-touchdown in 2010 wasn’t significant. We lost that game something like 49-21.
Speaking of Cam Newton, I still smile remembering the undefeated Panthers losing to Denver in the 2016 Super Bowl.
I know he’s a Vol, but I felt really good seeing grizzled veteran Payton Manning defeat arrogant Cam Newton. Then, the next morning, when I saw Cam’s childish, sulking press conference performance, I felt EVEN BETTER!
Cam walked out of the sb interview if I recall correctly.
Hoes!
I was at a church SB party in North Carolina that night and was the only person pulling against the Panthers. People asked me why (is it because you like the Falcons?). I told them I couldn’t stand $Cam Newton since 2010.
I agree with your point, but Panthers weren’t undefeated going into the super bowl. Falcons beat them during the regular season. I think the ’72 Dolphins are still the only team in nfl history to go thru the regular season undefeated.
Patriots made it unblemished until dude caught it on his helmet as I recall.
If Kirby was signaling for timeout on the sideline and he converted to clapping, I think Ole Kirbs pulled a fast one. Such a shame.
As long as he got one over on Auburn. The officials still owe us MANY for the calls over the years that were gifts to Auburn. The one that sill pisses me off to this day is the Nick Fairley cheap shotting Aaron Murray multiple time. No question he was deliberately trying to injure him yet crickets.
One more then I’ll try to stop.
Cam, in our hearts you’ll always be number 2.
And I wouldn’t use #1 on you if you were on fire.
You can watch that (both) a billion times. The ball was out before the nose hit the front of the line.
They didn’t get robbed of six points.
We did.
It was close either way and no way was their evidence on video to overturn it regardless of which way they ruled it. The officials had marked him as short of the goal line regardless of the fumble. It was going to be forward progress stopped inside the 1 or Georgia ball.
I agree. It certainly looked like the ball was moving BEFORE the goal line. Yes, it popped out and rolled down the pile after the goal line but it was most certainly loose before then.
It was. CJ Allen dislodged it prior to Arnold getting to the goal line (you can see the ball isn’t secure in Arnold’s hands if you go frame by frame) and Raylen completely knocked it out afterwards.
If Auburn feels robbed I say “Good!” No team deserves to be cheated more than the all time SEC leader in cheating. And to have it happen on “Honor our greatest criminal” night is a pure chef’s kiss. If only Nick Fairly’s parole officer would have let him be there too. Be mad Aubies. Whine and cry. Demand a recount. Keep supporting the victimized Freeze. But also remember to thank every UGA fan you see for saving your toilet paper supply. #FTMF #9IARB
Auburn used up any good fortune they had when they were riding the Gus bus. That was not a touchdown last night. I’ll listen when an incorrect call costs a team a likely national championship. Tyler Simmons was onsides. I don’t care for auburn. Go Dawgs!
The crumble after the fumble
I’m stealing this, for sure
Well played.
Post of the day!
Isn’t that a Jethro Tull song???
My Auburn buddy said it was a good call as their QB lost control of the ball prior to crossing the goal line me, I rather think Auburn got screwed.
This is one of those plays that will be debated for all time. I think he scored. Aaron Murray says he didn’t. I caught a bit of the program today on SiriusXM College Sports and they said it was without a doubt a TD.
Bottom line, Auburn shit their pants afterwards, so it’s a good thing we helped them save their TP.
