Hunting Season

DGD rips a page out of the Condensed Version of Kirbyisms, wins a state title with his high school alma mater.

It might not be at the college level, but that’s a proud branch off the Kirby coaching tree.

Congrats, Coach Jones!

  1. That is great. I was wondering why he was dressed liked that when I caught a little of that game last night.

The Carrollton vs. Buford game was a good one. I was pulling for Carrollton, but it was great to see the UGA safety commit have the 80 yard winning TD run. The kid from Carrollton committed to UGA at center was a beast last night too. He was wreaking havoc on defense most of the game. He looks to be a future starter with the athleticism he displayed.

  2. It didn’t make the television coverage but after the game ended he hunted down John Brantley and sacked him again.

  3. If we’re talking the Georgia state championships, Otis, myself and others who frequent here are basking in the glow of Worth County’s first state title in 38 years. Being there yesterday and seeing that community celebrate reminded me of how blessed I am to have grown up down there.

  4. Had a blast watching the Gator Killer rep CSG & bring home a state title for his alma mater as Carver’s first year coach!

Love the hunting mindset & JJ is an all time DGD!! However, if I see another damn city slicker call a pair of insulated bibbs “waders” again I’m gonna puke!

  5. I unironically dig the Savage Pads, turnover bling, etc. (even the failed ones like the Tennessee TrashCan) so, I celebrate the hunting waders. I really do. Wouldn’t you love to sit in a Duck Blind with no cell service, just a one on one chat and get a few “redacted” stories from Coach Jones?

    • He could make a good bit selling that seat to dawg fans. Who won’t want a one on one in that setting with Coach Jones. He embodied fire, passion and energy before Kirby named it.

I love the savage pads because it’s important to the players as long as it’s meaningful I want them to stay. The trash can was perfect for Butch because everyone else knew it represented his future.
