Much has been made about the improvement noted in the team on Saturday night, but I would be remiss if I didn’t highlight a few moments that defined what seems like the appropriate level of play that Georgia employed to get there: pure, unadulterated violence.
First, respect to Brett Thorson. When teams return kicks on you once every two years, I guess you get excited at the chance to maybe make a tackle.
Another highlight comes via Jared Wilson, who took a guy to the sideline and literally bounced him off the earth.
You know you can tell a team is turning it around when Ben Yurosek (just above the 17 for Tennessee’s score on the graphic) is starting to play like a proper SEC tight end.
Here’s more death on Dooley Field, courtesy of Dylan Fairchild.
In a thing of pure beauty and a moment that defined just how physical, bloodthirsty, and driving the stake through the heart that final death march was for Georgia, we lined up Chazz Chambliss as a fullback and watch Xavier Truss roadgrade a pathway for Nate Frazier to score.
I’m sure there are far more hidden gems aside from the bigger moments of the game, but I’ll add this one, which I can’t even begin to explain what’s going on here.
In all honesty, it looked like a payback shot of some sort, or maybe it was just to strike fear and confusion in the defense’s hearts. I’m not sure which is true, but as long a Vol is on the receiving end of violence, I’m all for it.
Nice work JP. That’s the OL I’m used to seeing in the last couple of years. Getting off the ball and finishing blocks. I’m sure after the Ole Miss game is was not fun being in the OL room. You think Kirby chewed some ass?
Yeah, looks like Raylen designed this one up for some ” I’ll show that MFker, Yo ass is mine, now come get some more”
Every one of those videos shows private in the app and on the gtp website.
FACK. I try jiggering with it to set controls to public instead of default. See if you can reload and if they play for you then. Apologies.
It’s not a problem. I just thought you should know. You guys do a great job here!
And yes, it works now. Thanks
I know Tennessee feels it got screwed by the refs. They didn’t, but I understand why they would think that. In the first video, there is a block in the back at the 43 that goes uncalled. It’s super obvious and textbook. The defender ends up on his face. No flag. They got the ball at UGA’s 37 instead of their own 33. That’s 30 yards in field position that eventually setup their field goal. Calls are missed all the time, and the misses were not one-sided.
I didn’t know Jared Wilson was an Undertaker enthusiast. That was a legit chokeslam.
Dylan Fairchild put that guy on roller skates. Rodney Garner probably gave that guy hell in the film room.
Enjoyed this very much! (Should show more square-dancing, though😁
Just watched a video with Thorson addressing the team on tackling. Funny as hell!
This is great!

Oh shit…should have known this would be posted already. Using the Jetapp sucks.
MOAR Violence please! Couch potato psychology observes that this team has had a few leaders but no LEADER all season until this past week. Then the right guys addressed the group and got the response they’ve been looking for. If both lines can play like they did against the UTs, then we are an elite team.
