Georgia Downs the Gators, 75-0

Wow. Just wow.

For context, the 1942 team won the SEC and the National Championship, thanks to a couple of guys named Frank and Charlie. Added to it, the Georgia team had draft deferments thanks to the UGA ROTC program, whereas many Gators left to serve in WWII. The remaining Gators were inexperienced, as the score would reflect.

Still, a win is a win. I’ll take it.

  1. I still say we should’ve went with a drop-kick FG to make it 78-0!

  2. 5th string QB Runner Stockton took a knee at the 1 with 5 seconds left rather than go up 82-0 but risk a KO return to ruin the shutout. Asked later by the press he simply said: “Freak those Mamby Freakers” and thus FTMF# was born. It’s true, I was there.

  3. Impressive showing by Vandy to be all over the board and then the light up Auburn to totally redeem their Charlie Sierra selves.

The fact Florida asterisks it, knowing full well they’d take any win tells you all you need to know. #FTMF

  4. I like that Florida shows up on the losing end of two of those (ours and OU’s).

Also, stop making excuses for the Gators sucking. 😀 We beat that ass!
