Welp, Georgia’s SEC schedules for the next four years just dropped, and wouldn’t you know it, looks like we get to travel to Oxford and Tuscaloosa…again…next year.

I’m sure the ratings bonanza that is achieved from the Alabama-Georgia game had nothing to do with slapping the Tide on our schedule again…and, no, we won’t get another shot in Athens at them again the next year. We’ll have to wait until 2028 for that one. As an added bonus, we get to travel to Williams-Brice at what I’m sure will be a Week Two game scheduled to be played at 2:30 pm so anyone visiting can enjoy the climate or what I’d imagine is one of three combined layers of Hell. Yippee.
While Alabama and Texas won’t clash in 2026, at least they have Texas a somewhat more challenging schedule…having away games at TAMU, Tennessee, LSU, and Missouri…that is, if any of those teams are still decent in 2026.
Kentucky looks to be the recipient of the “oh for fucks sake” schedule next year, having to travel to both Columbias, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and A&M, while hosting Florida, Alabama, Vanderbilt, and LSU.
Maybe Stoops will announce his retirement tomorrow.
AND, Georgia still doesn’t play TAMU until 2027. I guess they at least remembered UGA has never played at Kyle Field.
I think I am more disappointed in the lack of balance for the home vs. away games. The home slate next year is not that great. Auburn and Oklahoma are the only ones that generate any excitement for me. I don’t care how good Mizzou is in a given season. They are the most boring matchup in the conference.
You think Sankey broke one off in Kirby with this schedule for the 2024 SEC Championship stage remarks? I wouldn’t put it past that prick.
Yeah.
Really..I wonder if this schedule was created by (outsourced) an un-biased company.
That would be prudent and sensible..which means it likely wasn’t.
If so, I hope Kirby cracks on that MF’r every time they are in the same room and a camera’s running.
I really screwed this prediction up… Did not really think The League Office would have put this together with their head up their ass, but not sure why I should be surprised by that…
Really can’t believe Georgia@A&M in ’26 wasn’t the first game the put on the schedule, as much as it gets talked about…
And not going back-to-back just seems like a missed opportunity – “Remember the awesome game between these two teams from *last* year with one looking for revenge” is a lot better story line than when its from *two* years ago….
I knew we would either host Tennessee or go to Alabama for ratings. I’m surprised we aren’t going to College Station in ‘26. Then they are making us go to both Texas campuses in ‘27. That’s a major fail.
The DSOR is saved. That’s all I care about.
Glad to see Auburn and Florida on the schedule against each other in 2026. We’ll be able to have the old round-robin again every other year.
WTF is up with Alabama away, all the time? I’m with Tripod (3leggeddawg) show us on the doll, Greg, where Kirby touched you…
Just spit coffee. Thank you.
What is all the excitement aboot going to Tejas A&M? Who gives a rip roarin’ rat’s rear end about that never won anything cult?
Hell, I’m just glad they aren’t making us go back to Barn again next year.
and then blame us for wanting the series “re” “balanced”
What a surprise we’re going to play bama at their house again. There was a time I asked for more trips to Oxford. Yo Yo Yo Yo coach O still had a job then.
I don’t see two trips to Texas in the same season coming. That’s the Sankey special or said another way here’s to not seeing you in Atlanta Kirby.
Looks like a schedule Greg McGoofity could support.
