Happy Valentine’s Day, I got all of you Diamond Dawgs as a gift! The Dawgs throw out the first pitch of the 2025 season today in Wilmington, NC in a round robin type deal against the UNCW Seahawks and the Quinnipiac Bobcats, playing each team a total of 2 times between Friday and Saturday. We have a hype video narrated by Gordon Beckham to get your juices flowing…
The Quinnipiac Bobcats website says that their games against UNC Wilmington will be streamed on FloSports. As far as I know, UGA’s games will only be on the Georgia Bulldogs radio network with David Johnston and Jeff Dantzler on the call. However, I will check FloSports to see if UGA shows up? Doubtful.
Anyway, it’s more or less an Omaha or bust mentality this season. Wes Johnson has stocked the roster with numerous arms hitting 90+ on the radar gun and UGA’s offense is expected to be one of the strongest in the SEC and the country. Here’s wishing the team a safe, injury-free season.

Not this weekend that I can find. And the schedule doesn’t list a TV broadcaster for this weekend.
Inspired by this post, I bought tickets and drove down to Wilmington yesterday and watch some Diamond Dawgs baseball. They won their two games and looked good doing so. #7 can bring some HEAT.
Taking my best girl and my son to a game in Athens on March 5. Will be our first visit to Foley.
