Would have preferred Home and Home but the all mighty dollar reigns supreme. Surprised it was Tampa and not Orlando.
I thought it would be Orlando, but Tampa has the better stadium.
But the drive to Tampa is much longer and the best beaches are across the bay. Although that area was hurt by both Helene and Milton.
Think Tampa got wiped out by the last storm too, but this is 3 years away. I just hate college football games at pro stadiums.
We just returned from Safety Harbor. It was perfect. Bern’s survived and is as good as ever.

Tamps has Bern’s Steak House, which is expensive but an experience. Orlando has amusement parks (yawn) and 8000 toll booths, and a mediocre stadium.
For a 2 year interim plan, it’s ok. Keeps the 50/50 split, keeps us out of Gainesville (the College Station of Florida}, and makes the Handbags travel one year. I get the tradition, and how S GA people love having it nearby, SSI people live the cash, etc. I don’t hate any of those things, and I don’t mind the neutral site thing. But I admit I am not a fan of Jacksonville. It hasn’t ever been set up to handle the crowd. I don’t know about Tampa, but Atlanta has its big event act together.
We have to go someplace for 2 years. Might as well get one up here, and the one down there isn’t in Gainesville. Let’s give it a whirl.

I’d rather go to Tampa than Atlanta and I live in Metro Atlanta, nothing kills a big game atmosphere like a Dome.
Not a fan either. The Vikings situation always cracks me up. 4 Super Bowl appearances in the first 11 games.
Since the Dome was built 43 seasons ago: 0 Super Bowl appearances.
But it would be nice if we could up our record in ATL. At least make people whine about moving the thing to Jerry World just because we’ve given it the appearance of unfairness by beating everyone’s ass there.

I lived in Minnesota as a kid. Even the hearty Midwestern folks like central heating and air. That’s why they live in buildings that aren’t open to the snow. I don’t get the whole “THE WINTER WEATHER IS OUR ALLY” thing. What are you guys, the Russian Army trying to hold Napoleon off from taking Moscow? I admire toughness, but nobody is wearing a skirt playing in a dome. Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t think getting frostbite and/or pneumonia in support of my team as I watch in -5° weather is the best idea. But to each his own!
In the last few years, I’ve been to MBS for the Oregon, Ohio State and Clemson games. The atmosphere was there for all 3 especially anOSU.
Hopefully they will play with the roof open for once when it is at the Benz.

At least we got to see the look on his face as we hung 50 on him in Athens. I’m not disappointed he quit after another game (we know what drive him out). I’m disappointed he didn’t quit at halftime. FTMF.🤣
