For today’s Daily Dawg P*rn, it’s nice to revisit the game that set the record for most consecutive wins for an SEC team…last year’s harder-than-expected Tech matchup. What’s even better for our Dawg P*rn countdown, it included a 29-yard score, a connection I hope to see more often this year in the 2024 season: Beck to Lovett.

Lost in the light of recent events is that the Georgia receiver room should be a solid group, with Lovett, Bell, and Colbie Young likely being the end-of-the-alphabet group on offense.

Speaking of, in case you missed it, Thomas has been dismissed from the team, so, yeah, it’s Colbie Young season in Athens now.

Here’s the complete game highlights, which I hope are more Bulldog-heavy this season. Turns out we were looking ahead and also underestimating Tech’s resolve, which, given the outcome the following week, probably has been a talking point for Kirby during the offseason and leading into the season’s start:

Talk coming out of the off-season and spring practice is that this might be a breakout season for Bell. Whether it’s Bell, Lovett, Young, or anyone else, one things remains the same:

Fuck Tech. Brent Key is making a big deal about this becoming a rivalry again, but I’m content to beat the vigor out of the nerds and return them their Geoff Collins glory days.

    • My compliments on your comment! Succinct, elegantly simple, and nothing if not effective! You’re an Edgar Allen Po(e)’Boy!!!!

  1. Tech played well, we let down a bit, and the officials were “on” for the game, with several shitty calls to keep it close at the end.

Avoid the rush. Hate Tech early.

    • Speaking of officials, will this be the year that “Bama Priviledge” will finally go away now that Nicky is gone?

  2. Key was a good hire for GT and kudos to him for bringing some fire back to the rivalry. Makes it all the sweeter when the Dawgs put the hurt on ‘em.

  3. Key was a good hire for the nerds. I look forward to grinding his enthusiasm into the turf for the next several years.
