Such a crock! We had a Bulldog group gather for smash burgers and the game last weekend when it was a night game. These start times totally suck. It is little consolation, but at least it will feel like 10am for the Bizarro Dawgs.
I wonder if the start times are a punishment for playing The Stroke at the last game?
It looks like J Reid Parker Director of Athletics Jess Brooks got loose with his Sting Talk postings. Reckon it’s too much to expect a team to be ready any place, any time if they have a “magic little number” in front of them. Best seed remaining? Georgia has won ZERO Super Regional games this year – ZERO!!!, our players cain’t wave to their families without getting suspended. 11 am, 11 pm? There’s been damn near a week’s notification. The players are compensated, fed, have facilities, rehab schedules and are told when and where. They’ve been playing 7 am Travel Ball games for a decade. This all gets fixed by playing to The Standard, whippin’ MSU’s arse and then one more.

Allow me to make a single point concerning Phelps’ ejection…he was a total hotdog while rounding the bases and he deserved the ejection. You celebrate inside the dugout after big scores or homeruns, not on the basepaths!
The teams are not “reseeded” prior to the CWS – they are placed in the groups according to WHEN they secure their spot/win their Super Regional Championship. So, the earlier the time the better for playing teams in a bracket with teams that took extra games/time to win their super regional. In theory – “weaker opponents”. Earlier times game times are better.
