51.3% of the Time, It Works Every Time

Here’s an interesting infographic that should come as no surprise to anyone around here, Bobo apologist or not.

Considering how Branch could actually generate positive yardage and touchdowns out of a screen pass more than I’d say your average receiver, it’s a safe play and a good call given the results.

But those receivers don’t grow on trees, so let’s see if we can work the ball a little further downfield this year, shall we?

  1. 80% short to intermediate routes. What’s the right % as I’m not reading those are completion/targeting rates? Do we not throw deep often enough or are the short routes just more open? Or do we have a QB limitation? Since CMB is not going to sit down for an interview and tell us it’s just a guess but would be great to hear more insight on this.

My opinion, which I’m entitled to as a fan, is we have a congruence of variables at all the offensive positions so that Bobo is calling what he has to, not what he wants to. But it’s his show to run and a fresh approach may be what the team needs most as DCs are picking up on tendencies. Hopefully our off season self-scouting finds the answers.

    • Could comment on and on about natural ability, transferring to UGA football, experiencing the “Process” + one years exposure to CKS in person, will benefit Mr. Branch at the next level…GO DAWGS!!
