Hmmm. There seems to be someone missing from this list.
No, not Cash Jones.
At least two former wide receiver transfers made it to the combine…otherwise, the negative recruiting would tell you that Georgia is where receivers come to die. Notably, I don’t recall Thomas catching screen passes. I keed. I keed.
In all seriousness, it’s a shame given how highly touted he was coming out of the portal, especially looking at his stat lines from Texas A&M compared to his year in Athens.

At least after Branch’s year you could make the argument that a transfer is good for a receiver. And given how the program stuck by Young through all his issues, maybe it’s not just the stat line that matters, either.
Thomas will get an opportunity with at least one NFL team. Jones didn’t get an invite because of he can’t break a tackle. He’s great in space but a china doll once a defender makes contact.
If Stackhouse can make a team via free agency, then anybody can. Lets go CASH!!!
I know Thomas was hurt part of the season but I do think we grossly underutilized him.
I blame Bobo.
On the one hand you have Branch…
…on the other you have Lovett, Rara, Colbie Young, London Humphreys, plus AD Mitchell and Jermaine Burton leaving and improving their numbers elsewhere.
